Good morning all,
Sorry for your loss ampersand (((hug)))
Sorry that I've been missing, I was poorly for a week and it seems to have taken me a while to come back up to speed (not Covid, it was gallstones). Pleasures for yesterday.....
New job trial went well. It is for the same people that I was working for before lockdown but a different job. Everybody happy so the job is mine.
House is clean and tidy, all washing done. The garden is next on the list.
Dinner was made by me but frozen so once defrosted just needed heating up. I do like 5 minute dinner prep now and then.
Photos from my sister via messenger of great nephew and great niece. When her children were small photos were still of the "take the film to the chemist, get it developed and maybe post one or two to aunty" kind. It's wonderful to be able to see what the litle people are doing as they do it.
DD thanks for the Oor Wullie pic. I had an Oor Wullie annual at Christmas every year growing up. My wee gran was from Glasgow and was delighted that we wanted to read about Wullie. I loved The Broons too.
Tale care all of you

Now with other things occuring in your version of the life of BoP!
Had the dippy eggs this morning, with toasted proper marmite soldiers, tea was also drunked with some orange jiuce. Raffles was A.W.O.L. The stop out. He came home around 10 for his chunks.
Have inns late elevenses this day, BoPsie has bin to the emporium and gets us some decent Jam tarts! Rite tasty and who actually needs biscuits! BoPsie also gots some treats for sandwiches, more later.
Watched another amaflix last night. Love in Paradise. About a cowbouy writer and adventurer who cannot ride a horse. good for the horse likers around the parish. Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed! Details not on Liedepedia.
Had thirst buzzard wings BBQ last nite and we has enuff for one more soon! Raffles, even though he is a stop-out, has done his work! Don't know why we fuss over him! Please be careful of burns if you use the BBQ, and remember the buzzard wings need around thirty five minutes.
Now watching the cricket. We need to ... Bring back Root!
That is it for this day.

So Flo, Flossy and Fluffy all attended breakfast and lunch. Fluffy is the smallest and still needs to be fed by Mum. What a racket she makes !
When my Dad closed the shop he rented storage/garage space for his stuff that he plans to sell at car boots (new career :-)............ but the roof fell in this week. Nevertheless he has put his shoulder to the wheel and today is his first foray into being a seller. Shall call him later. The weather was nice for him.
Have been watching a programme called 'Home is where the art is'..........marvelous. Have fallen in love with an artist and his work. On my wish list for when I win the lottery.
It's a beautiful day that I am thoroughly enjoying. Have loads of work to do but am taking a leisurely pace. Dinner at least is all prepped.
Have a beautiful day

Cranky, vast congratulations on the new role.
1 The sun is shining, and the clothes are drying, the lawn is still now too long, but the bumbles are enjoying and the animals are enjoying laying in it, thou I feel like they are taking the mickey out of me now..
2 A pasta bake was dinner. It was nice, and easy…
3 I am needing to do rather a lot of extra washing and cleaning with ill animals, the pleasure being hoping that it helps them.
4 It being warm enough to have both french windows flung open and a nice throu breeze..

1) realbeat workout followed by cooked breakfast - bop would highlight lack of snorkers though
2) after church redid the fitness test having just finished week 13 of total body project. Fitness now at gold level :-) I managed 35 full burpees in 2 minutes (13 weeks ago i struggled to do any and they weren't proper burpees) also managed 33 press-ups, 88 full squats, a 2 minute ski sit (much swearing), a 2 minute plank (which seemed bliss after the ski sit) and 24 full sit-ups. phew!
3) gbf came round to walk the dogs. lovely sunny weather
4) then i took the boys up to see mum who is fine. she has lent me her 3 Andrew Lang's - the green, yellow and red fairy books. i used to also have the blue
5) home for lo chinese from last night then watched The Deep Blue Sea and the first episode of Real Royalty and now in bed with the green fairy book. brings back memories
Now in bed with The green fairy book. Once upon a time...MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son and I made a picnic (mainly egg mayo and salad sandwiches) then went to our local National Trust place. We had to book online in advance. This was a lovely trip out as the grounds are huge and we wandered around and down to the lake. The house, book shop, shop and cafe were shut, but there was a temporary tea room set up in the stables where you could get a drink to have outside.
3) Made a big roast for tea.
4) Watched this programme, which I would recommend to all:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000kycj
5) Did the washing up mountain, whilst catching up with the monologue episodes of the Archers.
6) Just talked to my school friend for seemingly 10 minutes, but noticed as I put the phone down that we had chatted for 2 hours 58 minutes!13 -
Well my tuna pasta went on for 3 days again. Last night I added black & green olives, more anchovies and roasted tomatoes. It was the best yet. My OH has always loved my pasta sauces (he loves pasta) and when I said last night that we couldn't possibly eat it 4 days in a row, he looked disappointed. The thing is I have some bacon to be used.............. Tuna and bacon ? Don't know, can't remember trying that. Any tips ?
I don't have any room in my tiny freezer for batch cooking.
Tiggy and I will go exploring in the next hour. I want an early walk so that I know my first job of the day started off with something great for both of us. Not sure how she will feel but must take advantage of these summer mornings.
Cranky.........congratulations on new job.
Mrs Salad...........am so impressed with your home growing. I will get there one day.
Have put food out for you know who.................enough said ! ;-)
Have a wonderful day
