Good morning, sat here with a dog stretched out beside me and sun streaming through the window which was unexpected as rain was forecast. Swallows are flitting in and out of the nest above my window.Yesterday was a busy day.Did an early morning supermarket run to get mums stuff . Met a friend as I was leaving car park so went round the roundabout and back in and chatted for what turned out to be 45 minutes! Was lovely to see her.
Then quick chat to DD1 as I ate breakfast before heading to vets with doggy boy.
Beautiful and safe system at vets, you call to say you’re here, what colour and make your car is and then vet comes out to chat from a distance. Told her our problems and then she put one of their leads on him and off he trots in. Then after examining him she called me in the car and told me what was what and then brought him and his very expensive medication out to the car. She did say cost of specific drug was prohibitive however if we need it we need it. I’m glad he likes the vets ...but not so much the taking if the pills. He obviously realised the hiding in a strawberry trick was indeed just that this morning. A trick! Pah! You don’t fool me mummy! Tablets spat out! Doggo at the price I’ve just paid for these you’ll be taking them by hook or by crook!Then was home and just thinking about getting ready to go to mums when DD2 called to say she was taking GN & Baby to our local country park and did I want to come and I thought well actually I do but said I would not be touching them and tried my best to stay back from them and was reasonably socially distant from them. It was such a lovely day and so nice to be there. Nice to walk past our castle and see our river.Then we called back home very quickly for a nappy change that DD2 had to do and for me to pick up mums shopping and we went round there. So she got to see the kids from the top of her driveway whilst they stayed in the car. Then they headed off and I did the mother stuff ( which involved inner seething at the mess I have to clear up today!)
Nice walk home. Hello my doggy. With his cone of shame on. Spent time just snuggling with him as we’d all been rather in and out all day.Had lasagne and wedges for tea. Dog had strawberries and drugs for his!14 -
Morning all
Mhags hope doggy recovers quickly. I know you are not supposed to but when Tiggy spits out her meds, when all 'allowed' food doesn't work, I wrap it in a tiny piece of cheese. It always works because she doesn't bother to chew !
Taking Tiggy tomorrow morning for last stitches to be removed. Am hopeful that we can go through a period of good health for a long time. She has been through the wringer.
Not much to report, still eeking as much joy as I can with my visiting birds. They do make me stop and stare.
Reading about your lives, the amazing cycle rides, the friendships, the animals, the food...............all great pleasures for me. It makes me feel connected when I am missing so many people. So thanks to all.
Have a wonderful day

So mine for yesterday
1. A soak in the bathy - with line of duty season 3. i thought I'd seen it but turns out i haven't
2. Did some work - by choice as OH and DS were out for the day visiting in laws and i want to go cycling with OH on Wednesday. Am very well versed in relevant social theory now - FINALLY (after 4 years - why did i do a sociology degree? I am not a sociologist at all....), now i just have to do the writing. Last stretch
3. Washing mainly dried on the line - perennial pleasure
4. Socially distanced drinks in the garden with friends.
5. Take away curry afterwards.
Have a great day all xI wanna be in the room where it happens15 -
And another came along ...
Back of the Cable Car. Nearly Empty, At Market and Powell they were queueing!
More eggs and soldiers. And chips with fish! Three BrakeFests! I is checking on the flix about the songstress! Is on the list on the river thing. Jenny beats ato the dog! And others!!!
Now with a bit of BoPsphere!
Brakefest was the last of the snap, cracked and plops this morning, with ice cold milk, then buttered crumpet and marmite! Tea is still being drinked. Now had to get the box of golden corn for the rest of the weak! Details soon!
Peaked early yestereve, and we had the BBQ a tad earlyer than I suggested inn the parish. We had the sticky wings of buzzard and snorkers! Quiet nice as BoPsie did the sticky mix this weak. She used the spoon to toss the buzzards, rather than BoP who gets his mitts inn to do the job! Was good, and we put the bones for Raffles and the birds. This morning all were gone!
Was out to the emporium w8r5 the morning as we get a free paper and a coupon as well! Just gots the essentials and marmite. Marmite is good for you. We can never has too much marmite.
Court up with the Hatters, but bad day overall yesterday as the gooners played themselves into ... Arrgh. One constellation is the mariners finished well above the rusty nails in Scooontsthrop!
Was watching another flix last nite. The Promotion. Was a bit of a long one, but meant that cheeses and wobbleades were consumed as well!
Well that is all the nonsenses from BoP today!
The pattern are all visible

Good afternoon
Yesterday was a dead duck sort of day as I'd slept really badly, so ...on to today.
Morning visit from DD with gift for father's day and sunflowers for me for mother's day. We had cancelled mother's day as at the time we couldn't visit at all, but she'd remembered! Very touched.
Afternoon visit from DS and DGchildren. Great way to spend an afternoon.
DD said something about needing masks. I will make some later.
But for now going to start reading a book DGD brought for me. I will have to be able to discuss it later!
Happy 🌞 Sunday everyone14 -
A day of nothing much in particular. Round to mums to do her meds and attempt at tidying. Much rain , few dry spells. Watched Masterchef Australia. They’re only doing 3 episodes a week instead of 5. ( due to covid and recording) and down to final 7 now and they’re all my favourites. It’s been a series of previous contestants (mainly top 3) from past 11 years.And that’s about it! Hopefully a bit more oomph tomorrow15

I don’t mind a bit of rain when I’m walking my dog. However, one day we were about half an hour out when there was a sudden heavy summer downpour. I had no coat, my dog kept looking back at me as much as to say hurry up and by the time we got home we were drenched. I just threw my clothes in WM and got in the shower.OS pleasures this week include:
2 hares playing in a field;
a beautiful !!!!!! pheasant;
birds to my garden including robin, wren, great tit, blue tit, pair of bullfinches, blackbirds as well as the usual starlings, pigeons and sparrows. My resident robin squared up to 2 other robins on the lawn. They flew away;
home grown new potatoes;
a visit from my youngest son and his daughter - in my bubble.17 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Eggy bread with blueberries for breakfast.
3) Went to see my dad in his garden! Bought him a beekeeping book.
4) Bigger son picked loads of raspberries with my brother. 3 bowls in the fridge for today and tomorrow, and 3 bags in the freezer.
5) Did a few jobs round the house after lunch.
6) Kedgeree for tea then raspberry Eton Mess (again).
7) Watched a football match with smaller son.
8) The planners have put in a new, ever so slightly changed plan for the 5 houses on the village car park (opposite my house). So I sent in an ever so slightly changed objection this evening...13 -
Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday.....
A lazy morning. The HT and I watched the latest in a Netflix series that he follows before having a shower and getting dressed.
Remembered to take the things that I needed out of the freezer for Sunday's roast dinner and for Monday's batch cooking
The "aftershock" headache from the migraine finally disappeared after a mid afternoon nap. That was a long one......
Chat via message with friend - I am going to help him with his allotment here and there. He has some cucumber plants for me
Online gaming with best friend - it's good to talk, ha ha!
Mhags I hope that Master M is taking his meds like a good boy today. When I was waiting outside the vets for the cat with tonsilitis a lady outside was just going to buy pate to hide her dog's tablets. I had to put the cat's medicine in the hard way by poking my hand into the jaws of death which gets harder as the cat starts to feel better
I have a few potential problems popping up with dad. He wanted his girlfriend to be his next of kin etc but he has been in a home for a couple of years now with vascular dementia. My sister has been getting phone calls from girlfriend that would suggest that she is away with the fairies. We checked with the home and they've had the same. We have no idea what's in dad's bank account or what adddress they hold for him. G/friend collected his last debit card from the bank and the home use that to pay his fees. We don't even know if she's still living at their old address and her son (who won't speak to us) has been advertising for house clearance people on facebook. My sister wants to leave things and just cross her fingers that everything is ok....I'm in favour of going down the POA route and doing things properly as g/f is no longer of sound mind (to be fair she never really was, even when dad was ok and living with her). If anyone has any advice or thoughts it would be a pleasure to receive them thanks.
Take care all of you
