2) middle of the day got a message from secretive son - turns out viva was today and he too passed with minor corrections vjsmum
3) an hour of urgent emails before very nice pasta with pesto for supper
4) then did a boxing abs workout - hated the boxing at the beginning - i think cos my arms were sooo weak and my form formless - really enjoyed it (though still hate burpees)
5) then a lovely walk with the boys. The haar had come back in - hoping it burns off tomorrow. i only have 2 meetings tomorrow whoop whoop

Today's pleasures....
Late getting up today, slept solidly after busy shift yesterday. Nice just listening to the radio, drinking lemon and ginger tea, having a large ginger cat for company.
Fruit and veg van came, I got a pile of stuff for £12.80 which would have probably cost £15-£16 in a supermarket. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, bananas, oranges, tomatoes, cucumber, new potatoes, a couple of big leeks.
Topping up the batch of strawberry vodka and the two large jars of Rumtopf I have on the go. The smell as you open the Rumtopf is heavenly.
Parcel of gorgeous hand made soap received from a friend.
Time spent in the garden, enjoying the sunshine with a tabby and white kitten on my lap. After a while he jumped off and the ginger one took his place. The dog just rolled around on the lawn like a maniac when she wasn't mucking about with a football. Animals are such a blessing. Having said that, the ginger one has just puked on my bedroom carpet.
Three episodes of Dr Who followed by some classic Fawlty Towers (Gourmet Night).
Clean linen on the bed scented with lavender. One life - your life - live it!15 -
I couldn’t not test Buttercream that’s serious willpower.
1 We just had a “meat from the freezer” meal which was duck with wraps, it had been in there to long, the pleasure it has now at least created some space as it was a orrible meal.
2 A lot of rain, with lightning and thunder really lovely for once, it normally circles around us.
3 We found a property last night which caused a lot of discussion last night and measuring this morning, we tried very hard to make it work but it doesn’t it’s the right location, right price, but the property itself is completely wrong and it didn’t matter what we did we had to come to the comclusion it would be too much work to make it work, so the hunt continues.
4 I gave up on A3da this morning when only half of the order was available, and the delivery driver said even thou he knows we are shielding it would be best not to deliver such a small order, you can imagine, when I showed him the full order and the full page of not available stuff he was surprised, I’ve now switched over to another place and just given up on them really. Pleasure being able to switch.
5 Dug out my hook loop kit to try.

So much has come and gone since last proper osps post, whenever that was.
& is busy, busy, busy still, every day, all day.

1. So much birdie activity. Stopping and sitting for small lunch today, watched tiniest dunnock within 2 metres, flying to feeders and back, to 2 fluff babies, barely clinging to 2 flimsy stems of a young olive.
2. This is real Leadership, owning a situation, ducking nothing, acting fast and effectively:

Proud of Jacinda and Aotearoa's team of 5 million. KIA KAHA AROHANUI.
3. Heard from young J, excellent tree surgeon with his Dad. B-I-I-IG gumtree will come down on Monday.
4. Zoom Church was terrific, though patchy here. Nothing new in that. Have learnt about breakout rooms too. Great follow up em from our lovely vicar.
5. Had entirely forgotten about a decent Lot in long postponed auction until email came yesterday. Fingers x'd. And Spits will dip toe in water 13 juillet ....definite if tentative yes at this stage. On verra. All is dependent on further updates. M is being wonderful to and with a number of us. & is remaining mask'n'glubd for the foreseeable, in all situ's outside &squat.

Delivered boot load of 16 &-potted and h-g trees, shrubs, underplanting, 2bags bluebells and grape hyacinths after adult vandals chain-sawed down a deprived area's school woodland last week. Doesn't look like much in pic. Unloaded, otherwise:-)

The asb is hugely ramped up, with more police incident numbers. Toxic and tribe have now targeted nextdoor - windows egged twice, illegal laser filming, 1/2am trespass and banging on windows+shouting, etc etc....much more She is dangerous, sick and this time, REAL action seems to be underway.

1. DS1 filmed the storm at home and whatsapped me at work-related with message washing was in from the line too. Storm was much worse at home than at work. Rain was much needed for the garden.
2. Managed a walk first thing when it was dry- enjoying the walking.
3. Have menu planned for a couple of weeks and shopping lists done for DS1 to shop.
4. Another new recipe for tea - yummy
5. Saw a poppy in a lovely shade of red - very unusual in way to work.13 -
Morning all
Congratulations to Dr secretive son, DD. I didn't tell anyone outside of my house either - didn't want the distraction of well meaning 'good lucks'. I guess i don't need to tell you that corrections are a bu88er.
How awful Ampersand - hopefully something will be done.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. actually began the corrections rather than just (relevant) reading and putting them off
2. watching the rain (masses of it here, Frith)
3. Hearing DD do her D&D (dungeons and dragons) with friends - she has been really quite poorly for some time and sounded more like herself
4. watched Anne with an E while OH and DS watched the footie - beautiful programme
5. OH cooked chilli which we had with Avo and kimchi as we are low carbing.
Have a great day in the rain y'allI wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
Oh for such leadership &! Let’s hope something is finally done about toxic situation.
For yesterday,
A rubbish nights sleep, hay fever seems particularly bad this year with eyes red & sore, pleasure of first cup of coffee.
Busied myself inside and cleaned some of the windows.
The postie bought a parcel from kind friend who had sent several jars of my lemon tea of choice.
Clouds rolled up and we had thunder & rain, enjoyed a much needed nap.
Cotton combat trousers dry so much better than jeans which was needed after evening walk! How cute small dog’s ears look when they go so curly when wet.12 -
Serious Energy!
Well today is Waterloo Day, but it has slipped from the memory. But also today in 1940, Charles de Gaulle spoke to the French people from London! Today there is a flypast with Macaroni from France to appreciate this event! Here was BoP back in 2018 at Horse Guards, watching a flypast to celebrate 100 years of the RAF!
PM2DD Seems David is still playing for Chelski!
Bloody 'eck &
Now I read some'ets as Butterscotch. Proper dessert.
Friths. They ticked their box!
Now with your version of BoP's Life
We we has the dippy eggs and toasted marmite soldiers for brakefest this morning. Was tasty and nice. Makes BoP happy all this decent proper food!
Note the size of the marmite soldiers in there! Rite good!
Watching the cricket as the elevenses are consumed. Proper tea and a nice chocolate covered digestive! Tasty! I forgots to tell you the flix we watched on Tuesday. Bad Grandmas. Good, but not recommended as it was panned! Last nite we watched Chelski Captain p[lay for the gooners and turn the game! More wobbleades were consumed, with selected cheeses! Buttered crumpets and marmite were also wolfed down.
No more meet again RIP Vera. Now she also sang with John Lydon! Hmm, Winter Gardens in Cleethorpes 1976 ish! Not as good as the Stranglers, we all rushed back saying how good they were to or geography teacher. She shut us up saying she had seen the stones some years earlier! So the concert upstairs has just getten better!
And we is ripping through the Aussies, boundaries are bee inn hit!
That bee it for this day!
Whale Meat Again?

4) made an Italian white bean and cherry tomato soup for lunch
5) took another break at 4:30 after my last meeting and treated myself to some new pots of herbs and spices. ok strictly speaking didn't need them so not very mse but for £14 made me happy, and it's not like i can spend that eating out at the moment!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
