1 Today was very much a cleaning day, hoovered, new bedding on, old bedding through wash, then vaxxed, sorted more clothes for CS and tidied up. Then cleaned the ferrets out and clean bedding for them also. Washing loads queuing up.2 loads of washing taken in just before the showers arrived.
2 Dinner today is a chicken soup with various veg added, added to tagetelle, it tasted better than the description.
3 The new soundbar has lead to DH searching out an Amazon dot, we got an offer as a first time subscriber of a 3rd gen dot and 2 months unlimited music for £25 so we will give it a go.
4 I’ve just planted out the dianthus, and found how dry the garden was so then spent time hosing again.
5 It turns out the millionaires shortbread is edible so we just had a portion.

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A lie in.
2) No muck today, but picked more raspberries.
3) Went to parents' house to pick cherries and second mum and dad appeared! Their first trip out in 12 weeks. We all sat 2 metres apart in the garden. Both "dads" are a bit deaf so they were a lot of "pardons?" My dad is waiting for hearing aids and I had to laugh when I asked him "Are you having one for each ear?" and he said, "What?"
4) Got father's day book and card from local tiny bookshop.
5) Made jacket potatoes for tea, then cherry pie, then a banana and walnut cake.
6) Pruned bits in the garden then watered the pots and the courgettes.
7) Enjoyed watching the Big Brother programme from 2006. I have probably been out in the evening fewer than 30 times since 2005 (some years, not at all!) so it was good company years ago when sons were in bed at 8pm.

1. Text messages with friend/ colleague who is shielding at the moment. She allowed me to moan about work and understood the problems. It was a tough day due to various reasons.
2. Poppies on the grass verges on my journey to and from work. They made me smile.
3. DS1 has hung the washing on the line and it was dry when I got home. Folded most things and only had to it in a couple of work items.
4. Enjoying my flowers and out a candlr.
5. Put music on and read my book.15 -
Morning all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. yoga session - wasn't feeling it but glad i persevered. Felt better for it
2. Started the corrections - moaning about it won't get them done..
3. A walk with OH and DS. Showed DS a new walking route - he couldn't believe such a lovely spot was so close to home and was a bit horrified that it is going to be carved up by HS2 (eventually). Glad he is becoming more aware of such things
4. sausage and cauli cheese for tea
5. Family film night - OH's choice. A film called Outsourced which was much better and more watchable than i thought it was going to be...

Hello all, pleasures for yesterday...
The HT's best friend had eaten her school lunch by the time she walked past our house (8:15am). Gave her fresh supplies and a drink - there's no food available in school. She's small and skinny and eats dinners bigger than mine so pleasure was knowing she wouldn't be as hungry as if I hadn't provided extra
Went to buy a cake tin for friend's birthday cake to go in. Home B's had cake tins and I bought the weekly cat food at the same time.
Made mini chocolate cakes for friend's daughter. As it was "no sweeties/junk food etc" day one, I didn't even test the buttercream. It looked right so that had to do. Little cakes all looked very pretty when decorated.
Sorted the fridge out, also took apart some big packs of stuff and froze in individual portions. The freezer is now full and the fridge is tidy again.
I was tired yesterday because I didn't sleep well. I went to bed early (earlier than the HT) and read for a bit. The HT put the cat to bed for me so I didn't have to get up (cat sleeps downstairs at night).14 -
Yesterday
Sainsbury's. First time in 11 weeks! Got there at 9. No queue. No obvious gaps in shelves. Well behaved customers! All good.
Visited my friend and sat in garden for ages. Lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Was sewing merrily when my needle snapped in half! Has happened before with a machine needle, esp when I've hit a pin, but never when hand sewing! Mind you, the needle could well have been my grandma's so could be metal fatigue!
Plant feeding evening yesterday, inc house plants. Never been done regularly before, but I think it is making a difference.
Happy 🌞 afternoon everyone14
