For yesterday,
Listened to an interesting podcast about a lady who not only is a Master Saddler but also rides side saddle, wondering if equine girlie could be suitably trained.
New bird visitors to garden, two greenfinches sitting on fence by compost bin and then a tree creeper hidden away in apple tree.
Made fresh tea with spearmint, very tasty and would be lovely cold with lemon, note to self.
Sorted out kitchen cupboards and a bit more room made for stock, suspect will be needed this winter.
Friday night treat of Moules Frites with HM bread.

1. Saw my parents for the first time since January. They went away Jan- March and then self isolated. Not officially shielding but haven't been out.
It was lovely seeing them and having a chat. DS1 came with me. At one stage sun umbrella went up for the rain and then was needed for the sun!
2. Delivered a Fathers day present - a pot filled with alpines. I enjoyed holding the plants and putting it all together.
3. Paid cash in at the post office. I'm collecting for a retirement present at work so had lots of cash but will be buying online.
4. Washing dried on the line and majority didn't need ironing - always a positive.
5. I'm made a start on DH accounts. Not sure why I'm still doing them as he is quiet at work and my work times haven't changed and doing extra for the money!!
6. Arranged the final details of meeting a friend today.15 -
Two along inn a minute ...
Could square up to it!
Bird visitors. We has BoPsie's pigeon that raids the seed things inn the tree of cherry! BoPsie complained this morning that although she filled up the feeders last night, the pigeon has ...
FiL has his card and things!
& BoPsie has bin at the A1D! and we has decent tarts of custard. Not that BoP is partial too a decent tart! Will be consumed during the gooners match.
All round to HC's for the cake!
Now another dollops of BoP!
Had the snorkers and best back as usual this morning. With the SpagYetti mushrooms and toms. Tea was drunked.
Watched a western last eve. Bend in the River. Had Jimmy Stewart and a young Rock Hudson in it. Some dasardly deeds, buit should have the sharp shooter, Lee van Cleef to pick the baddies off though! Then court up with some more Space Force. Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed!
All sat ready to watch the gooners again and keep up with the Hatters!
Bits short this day, so keep safe!
Pick up and let's get on with it!

Art'noon all - hope everyone is having a more interesting day than me. I'm typing (well, more like reading) - by choice as i want a day out with OH on wednesday when the weather is supposed to be gorgey..
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Good online yoga despite some internet connection issues on their end
2. boiled eggs and low carb bread soldiers for brekkie.
3. A walk out with OH and DS - no where exciting but it was the first time i'd been out since Tuesday
4. getting my head round what i've got to do - now i 've just got to do it.
5. Watched a film with OH and DD - Florence Foster Jenkins. Was better than its reviews. (i honestly don't spend all my time watching TV and films......)
Have a great day allI wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son came back from his travels and has had 5 meals today, including 3 breakfasts.
3) More redcurrants and raspberries off the allotment.
4) Spent 50 minutes on the phone to the mortgage company and I can now log in! There had been another account open with them (savings) from about 20 years ago that was dormant and, for some reason, that stopped me logging in. There was 84p in it!
5) Tasty tea with raspberry Eton Mess for pudding.
6) Bigger son made shortbread biscuits.
7) We just finished the Virtual Pub Quiz.
8) Smaller son and I have made vague plans that we might wake up early and watch the sunrise. It's not really the best weather for it, very dull and overcast. I'm not sure of the best place to stand, as I've never got up that early before.
ETA 9) got the car radio working - after a year!!!15 -
Pleasures today, the longest day in my area...
Awoke at 05:45 due to bright sunshine streaming in from the bathroom window on to the landing. I should close my bedroom door really. It was lovely to see the sun though.
Standing barefoot on the lawn after feeding the patio cat. The birds were singing, the early sun already warm on my skin, the ground cool beneath my feet.
Early trip to Co-op, meal deal two pizzas and a four pack of Budweiser or CocaCola for a fiver. With a freshly made salad, fresh raspberries and yoghurt, and tiny cups of real coffee and biscuits, that was lunch sorted.
Seeing the wild roses along the edge of the field when taking dog out.
Online choir practice. Thanks to a tutorial video I have finally nailed an awkward dance move.
The satisfaction gained from removing some annoying weeds from the front garden.
Lunch outside in the sunshine with jazz playing in the background. New York Jazz
Lounge on YouTube on computer, window open wide, volume up. Not so loud as to annoy our lovely neighbours though.
Tidying the kitchen cupboards and relabelling all the jars.
Slice of freshly made Sun Bread (for the solstice) with butter and strawberry conserve.
Son out for the evening so I could finish watching Queer Eye on Netflix.
One life - your life - live it!16 -
for yesterday
1) just being friday is an mse pleasure all of itself
2) played online hangman with colleague which gave us both the giggles
3) church friend came round at 5:30 as weather warm - she brought wine and we sat in the front garden
4) she also brought crisps - watching us taking them out of the bowl 1 by 1 it was like pick a stick as we determined not to touch any of the others ;-)
5) then we ordered indian - social distancing at its best
and for today where we don't mention the football as hatters only managed a draw and now languish on the bottom of the table
1) a glorious sunny day. started with my workout
2) walked down perth road for an indulgent ice-cream
3) gbf's 65th birthday - he came round and we sat in the front garden for tea and cake
4) then we had a delivery of fish and chips (sausage and chips for dd2)
5) front garden faces west so we sat there till quite late. a couple from round the corner who go to gbf's church stopped by - we can have up to 8 from 2 other households outside so they came into the garden too - honestly i felt quite overpeopled rofl was lovely to catch up.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
The alarm went off at 4am, we made tea in travel mugs to go out and watch the sunrise on what for us is the longest day. It took until 4.45 to peep over the top of the hedges and reach us as we stood under the beech trees.
Boiled eggs and marmite soldiers at just gone 7am!
Took a bucket of grooming brushes, apples and carrots to girlie’s field and gave her a brush out there. She followed behind me as I nosed around the hedges and then I sat on the upturned bucket to watch her graze. She kept coming over to blow in my hair and have her chest scratched.
Watched and enjoyed Tutankhamen in colour, fascinating.
Flagging after such an early start but just stayed up long enough to watch sunset being streamed live from Stonehenge, a truly magical day.

Good morning all, sorry I've been missing, I'm not sure how I've been so busy when we don't go that far or do that much. Pleasures for last couple of days....
HT coped well with school apart from maths. I have emailed school about that (again). He goes in for 2 days one week then 3 days the next but only from 9am until 1:30pm with a half hour break.
The cat is better and was running around the house like a kitten yesterday.
I had a migraine on Friday - the pleasure is migralieve which allows me to carry on with my day but just a bit more slowly.
Lots of raspberries coming in from the garden. I can see home made raspberry jam on the horizon
The rhubarb is growing thanks to all the rain. I'll pick some timorrow once I've had a think what to do with it.
I tidied my bedroom. I've filled a big bag with books that can go to the charity shop once they reopen. All the books waiting to be read and the ones that I want to keep are now on bookshelves instead of in a stack at the side of my bed
The HT has an appointment for a haircut. It's not for another 2 weeks but we can cope with that if we know when it will be sorted. I trimmed his fringe once it reached his mouth and it still looks alright but the back is a bit long now.
Take care all of you

Enjoyed my day
1. Had a walk with a friend - really good to see her and catch up. It wasn't a long walk as she can't walk for long.
2. Went to Wisley as DH had booked it. It was lovely seeing it. The weather was warm and sunny. People were very good at keeping 2m away.
3. Friends came over for a takeaway and glass or two of wine.
4. He gave advice on how to start building some steps in the back garden.
It has only taken DH to get to this point.
5. After eating sitting by the fire pit until late chatting.14
