So we have a Dr. in the house, huge congratulations VJsmum
Pleasures for today.
Not normally a fan of the rain, but the garden in particular the lawn is very grateful.
online exercise class this morning, missed a few days because of the heat so it felt good to get back at it.
Made some chocolate brownies...might have ate one already, just for testing purposes of course.
My new Mediterranean diet recipe book arrived, looking forward to looking for some new meal ideas for next week.
Cheeky mid week wine tonight and a few beers for Mr M who is currently looking (playing endless trailers) for a good movie for us to watch this evening.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Hello. Another day to try and remember what I’ve done!Three loads of laundry.Doggy cuddles.Masterchef Australia.
Supermarket visit. Bought ‘The Boy, the Mole, The Fox and the Horse’
Paid rather handsomely for my baking, more than I’d suggested.Stayed dry though very dark and overcast at times.Tidied the inside of my car...much dog hair, mud and sand!Met a couple I know and chatted to them for a bit as they were out dog walking.
Son made dinner, rather delicious.16 -
1 Up very early, downstairs hoovered and mopped, upstairs vaxxed, “saving” the windows for another day/week/month…
2 All deliveries turned up at once, but I am thankful for them. What I really can’t get my head around is we have ordered some large quantities of oats and brown rice un packaged, (as trying to keep to a specific diet has proved an issue in the pandemic), and it’s cost less for us to order it and have it delivered from Scotland, than to visit the local shop that does the same!! And they included a free 6kg bag of oats, and asked for a review which also provides a money off coupon.
3 Fish and veg for dinner.
4 Not a pleasure there hasn’t been rain here yet, but I’m hopeful in the meantime I chilled while watering the garden when the hose fell apart, that was a cold wake up call, and my excuse to change into what dh calls my clown pants! Fleece joggers with red stars on I know I don’t know why I got them from Costco many years ago, not even sure what I was thinking at the time!
5 The daft joy of where a pack of 4 doughnuts turns out to be 5!

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) A lie in.
2) Rained up to about 6pm.
3) Cleared out and tidied under the stairs and the airing cupboard.
4) Got some petrol and jet washed the car. It had needed doing since fording all the floods in February - there is still silt on the door sills! Bigger son had put a jelly baby in the Renault badge in place of a Rolls Royce flying lady and that had been a melted blob but cleaning that off meant all the water bouncing back into my face!
5) Cheating pizza and garlic bread tea.
6) Rejigging the finances continues. Yesterday found an ancient email from my life insurance co with a £10 Amazon voucher. Today I started the swap for my electricity company.
7) Enjoyed watching the Great British Sewing Bee.
