Afternoon folks a busy day in the office today, the phone never stopped flipping ringing, so now taking some time to relax for a bit.
Not many pleasures so far today but ever the eternal optimist so here goes
The weather ...beautiful blue skies and lots of sunshine, it almost makes up for the cancellation of two holidays.
lovely lunch of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and grilled tomato, ham in the slow cooker for later with some salad and jerseys royals.
A nice chat will be had with DD3 later and one Was had with DD1 last night.
A fat pigeon enjoying the birdbath and the tits and finches on the feeders.

Hello.Up at early o’clock with the doggy and off we went across the fields about 5.30am .
Back home and more baking! Made brownies with orange zest through them. Rather yummy, had also made tiny empire biscuits last night.Pottered back and forth. Cut the back grass. I’d done a disgraceful job at the weekend as I’d let it grow a bit longer as I’d seeded the patches. Grass was wet ( turned out DD2 had watered the whole lawn rather than the seeded area) and it was churned up and clogged the lawnmower! Anyway has been done properly today and looks better than it did ( apart from the patches but seed is growing) . Moved a few pots around.Watched Masterchef Australia whilst piping cream into meringues and making strawberry tarts. Then made lemonade scones...kitchen is a disaster zone but the cakes looked good in the photos! Friend came to pick them up and had a chat with her and her husband outside.May have had one or two meringues and a recline on the sofa! Then another friend popped by ‘ooh meringues!’ so she had one as we chattered safely.Been an odd day weather wise. Cool but dry then intense heat then rain and cool now. Hoping the forecast rain comes overnight and waters the allotment! Planning on weeding tomorrow.Have a nice evening 😊16 -

This is what we have been up to today, mainly! Which one is bigger son? (see below)
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) A lie in.
2) Much paperwork done (again). SIM only mobile contract (done through Quidco for £20 cashback), various other emails sent.
3) Sainsburys Click and Collect order.
4) Dropped bag of old clothes at the clothes recycling bin.
5) Campfire on the allotment for tea.
6) Watered the courgettes. The water just disappears into the ground - we've had one day of rain in 10 weeks, and that wasn't recent.
7) Deadheaded the roses.
8) Will watch Holby, just now.
