That's a good view photo, Ampersand.
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A proper sleep! It had been weeks without one.
2) Much bike riding done by bigger son then I went for a walk along the river bank and he cycled along with me. We both use Strava and my brother has got into using it too and has been for 2 runs and a bike ride today.
3) Helped smaller son mend his computer. I had never heard of thermal paste before.
4) Made a pizza for tea with enough tomato sauce to make a lasagne tomorrow.
5) Made parkin.

Good morning. I was a combination of too tired/ done with the day/not enough charge on iPad to post last night so for the record Sunday’s pleasures:
Up early and a frosty walk over the fields.Took son to B and Q before it opened...sixty other people in front of him had the same idea! He was going for wood to make something...please get me three bags of compost too...fifty minutes later he came back with wood but had forgotten compost. The car park was full, people just kept on coming.Home and made scones , a rhubarb crumble for one and honeycomb to go in honeycomb tiffin.Walked round to mums , DD2 drove so put some recycling in her car to go in mums almost empty bin!At mums I cut her grass, hoovered, washed floors, watered garden, cleaned bathroom, hung out washing . DD2 cleaned the kitchen. The damning fact is it will not stay this way. But I used her bins and nabbed two plant pots!Home and a chance to relax for a bit, ate my rhubarb crumble which was very tart!Watched Blood. I would recommend this series if you’ve not seen it yet.Had a plant delivery from local florist. I’d missed out on a floral workshop due to current situation so used the money for plants which will last a whole lot longer than a bouquet would. Was a mixed box so didn’t know what I was getting but I’m happy with what I did.Son fixed a missing slat in the fence. I’d to get paint out so painted the new veg patch ( you know only been there two weeks! )
didn’t want any dinner. Son made himself a stir fry.And so another week begins, wonder what it will bring. Just been a traipse over two fields and back. It’s a tad fresh though not frosty, forecast is for dull but dry...I’ll take that! Just going to strip my bed (must must must remember that I have before bedtime) and drive to supermarket that’s stocking compost.Have a lovely and stay safe x14 -
Good morning - tho a bit dull here.
Went for a walk yesterday. First time for ages. I'm not very good at going for a walk without an aim - buy a paper, visit a friend etc, - but I went anyway and enjoyed It.
Remarked to DH that the birds seem particularly loud this year. More of them/ less background noise or a combination? DS rang later and, unprompted, said exactly the same thing!!
Rewatching Unforgotten. We have forgotten most of it 😃 so we're enjoying it. Such good actors too.
Happy Monday everyone. Hope we're all brighter than the weather.

Like the bag & have you seen the wish tree in our village?
For yesterday
Early morning wander around garden in PJ’s, all I could hear was birdsong.
Caught up on all things Ambridge, last of the ‘live’ stuff for a while.
Pottered around outside, drizzly rain at times and cool enough for a jacket.
Finally got around to watching the Guernsey and Potato Peel etc film, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Had made a Blueberry and Apple crumble for afters but too full to enjoy at lunch, made a nice supper.

Lovely weekend weather here in Central Scotland. Dull and cool today so that will keep me inside this morning.
Hope all are well and coping with the restrictions.
Thanks for the Blood recommendation Mhags. That looks like something I would like.
Maybe fit a seatbelt on your chair BOP? Was it excitement with the shiny new PC?
My 5
Ridiculously excited about a local plant delivery. They dropped the plants off this morning at 7.45 at the end of the drive.
A cancelled trip, the pleasure being a uk trip that we can do next year.
Enjoying the Blacklist. Season three.
Eating well and getting all I need locally.
Nice walk with borrowed dog.

super pictures & and thanks for the heads up re. Radio 3. After a day on screen my eyes are tooooo tired to read or watch the oggle box. For yesterday
1) made a quiche - first time for years - we had it with broccoli and baked beans - dd2 was thrilled as it was a family fave when they were young
2) no exercise class on a Sunday but did another 45 minutes digging
3) now my music room is all beautiful (and only one grand piano so we can move round it!) dd2 got out her cello and her clarinet. We also located the cello stand and rosin (and even a spare clarinet reed)
4) neighbour thrilled with french horn, and i am thrilled it will again get some use
5) I have now got used to my 1 walk a day and i save it up for 9pm which is a nice end to the day
Right, back to marking...

Pleasures for yesterday
1. Did a bit more planting and potted on some tomatoes - i've loads of seedlings and a few might just get planted here and there to see what happens. As well as the 'official' ones. Our garden is looking well nice, after 22 years of 'meh'.
2. Good walk with OH and DS - the latter is usually on his best form away from the house and yesterday was no exception.
3. OH cooked roast gammon for tea - which i didn't think i wanted and was delicious
4. family film night - 'the boy who harnessed the wind' which i'd seen before but was just as good second time.
5. ALthough i said i would not have to work weekends any more, i chose to do some marking as the weather looks to be better later in the week and i do not want to be stuck in marking then.
Have a good afternoon / evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday
Still the new fence. My garden looks so tidy and we're laughing at the expense of the neighbourhood cats who keep stopping dead in front of it, totally perplexed. They've been used to walking through the gap.
Roast dinner - I'm not always in the mood for a Sunday roast but yesterday I was.
Chat with best friend while gaming. He's a bit fed up this week so it's good to talk it out.
My seedlings are mostly going well. Baby chives have popped up.
Feeling lucky in the current climate to have a house and enough food.
Take care all of you14 -
What ho midears! This will be short & I hope sweet as todays team meeting included the commands we have been expecting. "Get the headsets on & get training" - we'll be taking phone calls next week. Training includes 45 minutes on managing calls with those talking of suicide - the collective gulps must have sounded like a pond of frogs. Ah well, this is why we are still being paid in full - time to step right up & Earn the tuppence ha'penny.Just the same, rousing hurrahs-&-welcome to Joshua!OS Pleasures recentlyThe incantations to get the invisible magic pixies to cooperate sounds completely surreal “hall wardrobe, hall wall, your wardrobe, that table *then* turn the TV on” What could possibly go wrong...?As garb for studying YouTube videos go, tricorne & headphones (worn slung under the beard) is impressive. Other clothes were present, just fromn the neck up I was boggling happily.TV of a sedated tiger being fed into a MRI scanner with a paw falling off the bed... gurgles of amusement around the room!Should I admit that we sat & watched Pingu? Not as subversive as it used to be. (Also not Pocoyo, largely voiced by Stephen Fry.)Sudden flashback - as husky young person strolls off to donate platelets, I suddenly see his trainers have red soles - like the shoes he wore as a toddler!“Wilfred”? For a baby? I mean someone must have done, um-some-time ago, but seriously as noisemaker-in-chief of No10 (OK, in the not-yet-able-to-walk category)? Ach well, welcome Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas! [surname as yet to be clarified]Aw - it’s the season for the setting sun to gently tickle the glitterball, leaving tiny bits of sunlight scattered through the roof space like freckles.I have led my man astray - He spotted the Denby Ode teacup in the show about making Dad’s Army before I did!“The Death Crumpet tolls for thee” - youngest warns husband of his suspicions I have laced said baked goods with strychnine. (Utterly unfounded - I just looked up hoping for a brew...)Giggling over how to make tea & rule one is do not use a styrofoam cup! (A red mug makes your brain think it’s sweeter.) If in a hard water area, filter it first. Steep for the full five minutes - more flavour, more caffeine, more anti-oxidants. (Or just carry on & enjoy.)Health strength love & courage to all as have need (says she, womanfully trying not to gibber), may the weather remain fair & encourage all you have growing to greater oomph. (Ponders where belt used to fit & Moves Briskly On while sat on chair.) Family are helping plan how I have quiet space, and once immersed I am sure All Will Be Fine but ye gods the anticipation is a beast.14
