Hello. What was a cool and dull day has turned into a lovely late afternoon/evening ...says she still with a big jumper on but a bit of warmth from the sun even though it’s a cool breeze. However that cool breeze has dried so much washing today. So thanks for that!A very productive day. Have done loads and loads . Tidied airing cupboard. Cleaned fridge. Cleared through freezer and chucked stuff that has been in for ages ( leftovers from pre-historic times). Changed bedding ( yay before bedtime too) hoovered up and downstairs. Washed floors. Collated a bag of stuff that niece was supposed to pick up but forgot.Picked up compost at supermarket. Home by 8.30am. Potted up new plants. Weeded. Swept up in garden which was a task as wind kept blowing my sweepings!Watched Outlander ...oh my goodness...I need to wait till next Monday to find out what happens! I made sure I’d done all my chores before I watched it.A brief hour when it was just me. Son out for a cycle and DD2 out picking up some groceries. Nice to be uninterrupted whilst watching outlander!Peas peeking through the soil. Various summer bulbs popping up. Planted a thyme and lavender I got in my flower box in my herb garden. Planted three (currently) small pumpkins in veg patch...see how they go. Big ones need planting out in allotment...maybe a tomorrow job.Birdsong accompanying everything I did today. Constant chatter and chirping.Shall edit to say my dinner was cooked for me again! We had very tasty chilli beef nachos.15

1 Gardening, I finished planting things up, weeded, mowed the front lawn and strimmed. and watered.
2 As there is sunshine forecast, I got our clothes washing up to date and all hanging on the line.
3 Turkey mince packed with great things, made spag bol tonight, and I’ve turned the leftovers into chilli for tomorrow night.
4 I’ve made a to do list for tomorrow, mainly so I don’t forget, while finishing off the last pieces of anniversary cake, yup and excuse, hm and lovely it was.
5 We wanted to go out for essentials but decided against it as we can make do and we have a supermarket delivery as both shielding still.

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A lie in.
2) House quite tidy. 3 loads of washing done yesterday (including all bedding) and 1 today. Nearly all dried on the line.
3) Made cheese muffins for lunch and had them with salad and hummus.
4) Spent the afternoon in the garden. Planted a few remaining courgette seeds plus borage and long-flowered thyme. Bigger son worked in the shed for hours, on a new escape room.
5) Played tennis/football with both sons, here and there.
6) Tasty lasagne for tea.
7) Looking forward to listening to the Louis Theroux programme (forgot the title now) with Boy George. My brother is the absolute spitting image of Louis Theroux!
8) Talking of new babies, I have only sent a card to my new cousin so far, as have been unable to shop for anything proper. Much like my own sons, I don't think Shun will ever find anything with his name printed on it!
Nearly forgot! 9) Good news on Twitter just now. Nigel Farage decided to travel to the coast to moan about a few immigrants arriving by boat. He's now moaning because the police have been round about his unnecessary journey! Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke...

For last couple of days - mainly Sunday.
1. Day in the garden - planting plants, sowing seeds, relaxing and enjoying watching the chickens running around.
2. Sitting in the garden in the early evening DH reading my book and he was reading a gardening magazine.
3. DS2 cooked a very tasty beef pie.
4. I too watched Unforgotten for the first time.
5. Text messages with a friend from work. Kept me going throughout the day yesterday. Work was tough.
6. Warm evening - some of it spent in the garden and chatted to neighbours.
7. Enjoyed reading my book.14 -
Pleasures yesterday
Walk in the park with the dog, seeing her run after the ball and bring it back with that smug collie grin.
Proper coffee from the machine made from freshly ground beans.
Choir session, good old sing works wonders for the spirit.
Leftovers lunch - son had Beef Massaman, I had Chilli con Carne. Both served with a side dish of lightly cooked dark cabbage tossed in sesame oil, and freshly made bread, buttered. Slices of honeydew melon and chocolate ginger biscuits for afters. Fleetwood Mac on the CD player.
Shopping at Tesco in the afternoon. Supermarket shopping is a bit of a pleasure because I now do it once every ten days and it becomes a pleasant outing. Apart from the daily dog walk and work twice a week, I don't go anywhere. A pleasure to top up fridge, freezer and cupboards.
Cuo of tea made for me by son on return home, enjoyed sitting on garden bench in the sunshine whilst son playing football with dog. That football brings back memories of when the dog found the ball in the park on a sunny day, whilst my OH was having one of his hospital stays, and I took a photo of her with the ball to cheer him up. Poignant memories are everywhere, but thank goodness he's not alive during this pandemic situation.
Enjoying a brandy and Babycham whilst watching Doctor Who (David Tennant). My brother introduced me to brandy and Babycham many years ago, a lovely smooth drink, and you only need one to be mellow. One life - your life - live it!16 -
For yesterday,
Woke up to bright sunshine but by the time showered & dressed the mist had rolled in, luckily burnt off again.
Various chores completed, shopping for fresh food, picked up some carrots for girlie and her pals plus washed the car.
Lovely surprise, a bag full of books plus a pot of marmalade popped inside my gate, will leave you to guess which fellow poster performed this kindness ☺️
Delivered the carrots and had a good chat, at a distance, with yard owner. Went out to the field to see girlie, stood for a while giving her back a scratch and listening to the cuckoo.
Evening walk with beloved and small dog, she is starting to look like an Ewok with her long coat, might need to get my clippers out!

Good morning - just!
Lainey. I bet this is a daft question, but I grew up in an inner city so know nothing about horses, except for the rag and bone mans! Are you not allowed to ride your horse at the moment? I know you go to see her and groom her but you never mention riding her. Just wondering!
Iceland delivery this morning. They don't have such a range as the bigger supermarkets, but the fruit and veg is lovely and fresh, and so far I have been able to get a slot easily for a day or two ahead.
Decided to swap kitchen cupboard contents around. One is the baking stuff and plastic boxes cupboard so that should be fun. Wonder how many orphan lids I'll find! ( hopefully no orphan kids, as auto correct suggests!!)
Eggs appears to be the latest item that's difficult to find. Can't think anyone is stock piling eggs. Wonder where they're all going.
Happy Tuesday everyone

High as a ...
Do they still do Babycham! That was the mecca club inn ... No I did not go there as you had to be under 18 to get inn! We had real plaices to go!
Todays picture Vin Fiz. First continental crossing of the US by aircraft in 1911.
Now your version of what it is like being BoP!
I knows not bin inn for too days or so, bin busy as a bee inn the Boudoir! So heres is a catch up of what BoP has bin doing!
The second Boudoir is painted, curtains are being washed the moment. Raffles is ok, and sleeping on our bed! Proper paint use was the one with the dog. Ifs yous use cheap paints, it ends up looking blotchy, got it. There, remember emulsions are for the walls, not for spreading on toast! Note, BoP keeps his paints inn the shed, and details of his colours. Ifs yous remember last weak, BoP gashed the hall wall. It is now repaired. This morning inn the kitchen, BoP repaired the wall after last years leak from the bath. Orbital sander from the shed soon removed the carp. Nows ifs yous does think about sand inn the wall, please removed the cat and the bits from the area as it gets a bit messy and dusty!
Checked the rusted tin of outdoor seal of ron wood stain from 10 years back.It is ok and will be spashed onto the sills and windows later this weak. Watch this space!
Had usual snorker fest on SatDay with mushrooms and fried toast things! Tea was drinked. Then on sundae we had dippy eggs with marmite soldiers. Also we got dangerously low on the raspberry jam. We has now sore ted it and we has a new jar. BoPsie was a bit worried as she was unsure about the pips. She got it rite as BoP has the jam with pips. You may has noticed over the years that Bop does not mention strawberry jam. Remember strawberrys are for the cream, not for a jar!
Did a stonker chilli last evening, tin toms, has bins of kidney, onions, mince. Tossed into a pan and added with some top chilli. Rice and tossed on to the plates. Water need to be drunked. This day for dinner we has chunky chicken curry. Use the korma curry sauce, three decent beasts of buzzard, chopped. Onions and bits. Egg fried rice. As I has said, Jimmy the Cook does not do food like this, all he is interested inn is carp! Nows BoP egg flied rice. Bits of pepper, mushrooms, onions finely chopped. Peas or sweetcorn. Any spare meat things from the refrigerator, (That is where BoP gets his BITSERS from!) Beat egg and fry inn separate pan. Add the bits for the rice into a pan, gently fry. When long grain rice is done, drain and wash. Add soy oif sauce to bits pan, toss in the rice and quickly stir. Add egg. Pour into dish, add the curry and top with sultana, desiccated coconut and coriander leaves!
We has just had lunch on the plaza of hot dogs with onions, toms, cucumber. On sundae BoP made a steve pudding. Bits like that eve thing, but the sponge is chocolate. So we has that with the strawberry, orange and blueberry as well! Proper plaice for the Strawberry!
We is on a watch list for the flix this weak. We is on the Airplane and Airplane2 on the oggle box. Then we has the cop from Beverly hill this weak later. I understand that flix net has released a Jerry Seinfeld. BoP will be reviewing this tonite for you. BoPsie has the professor of nuts downloaded as well. So that is how it is. Also BoP celebrated on Sundae 38 years of not intentionally watching or listening to the BBC. Dont pay the regressive TV Tax. You maybe aware that the BBC tax collectors knock normally when the loan female is at home and extract by cohesive means, confessions from them. They do not have to do this. I hope that after this mess, more will realise that we do not need this anymore in todays multi platform entertainment.
There, I thinks yous court up with all things BoP!
I has me cube of rubik to finish!

Afternoon folks,
I woke up bright and early this morning and was glad to see the sunshine back although it was quite windy....took advantage and 2 loads of washing done and bedding changed.
Zoom meeting with colleagues this morning ....get me the original technophobe now can Zoom and use Teams, quite proud of myself.Off work this afternoon so have been pottering around the garden, tea and cake break about half an hour ago.
Snow boots and warm coat arrived...I am predicting a long, cold winter this year. Very pleased all less than half price in sale from Mountain Warehouse and then an extra 15% off and free delivery at checkout. Took advantage and bought some hats and gloves to be put away for Christmas gifts. Sorry folks, I know it’s a bit early to mention the C word.
Homemade Chicken Biryani, onion bhajis and raita to look forward to for dinner.
Mr M did the ironing, he must be bored I can’t remember him ever doing it before. Was a bit worried he might burn something and quickly hid a silk blouse just in case, but overall was quite impressed. It took him ages, more than double the time it takes me but hey it kept him out of mischief and saved me a job I really don’t like. Result!Well Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026
