Well done wizkid and Merlin on your lossesMoneysaverme wrote: »KATHRYN, hope you're feeling okay and that the docs goes okay.
Iron levels were bad, so spent half the day at the hospital getting some blood. It's makes you feel so much better when you have iron in your body. Massive thanks to anybody that donates blood.
Got some different anti-sickness drugs, but only allowed to use sparingly. Also got an appointment at clinic next week to try and sort out some of the side effect issues I'm having.
Foodwise today, not been great, but everything bad has been in small quantities.Zebras rock0 -

Sorry, don't know what happened to my recipe so here goes attempt two:
Ingredients
300g white fish, skinned and cut into chunky pieces (frozen is fine if you defrost first)
200g cooked prawns
2 potatoes, peeled and diced (I use about 8 new potatoes, cut into roughly 1cm pieces)
3 carrots, peeled and chopped
3 sticks of celery, peeled and chopped
1 large onion, peeled and chopped
3 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped (I use 3 tsp lazy garlic)
1 tin creamed sweetcorn
1 tin sweetcorn
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
A few sprigs of thyme, leaves only (I use 1/2 a tsp of dried)
1 1/2 pints hot vegetable stock
OPTIONAL - splash of tabasco sauce
Method
Heat frylight or similar in a pan and cook onion until soft. Add garlic, celery and carrot and cook for 5 minutes, until carrot soft.
Stir through both herbs and the cayenne pepper, season well, then add the stock and both cans of sweetcorn. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 30-40 minutes, partially covered
Add the potatoes and cook for a further 15-20 minutes
Add the prawns and fish and cook for a further 10 minutes, until the fish is opaque and the potatoes are soft.
Stir through the Tabasco sauce and serve. Makes three huge portions or four decent sized ones. I have three at the moment and I'm the only one who likes it0 -
Today's meals then
B - Bacon, egg and mushroom sandwich
D - The last of Wednesday's fish stew
T - Some chicken thing I found online in the slow cooker. I can post the recipe if it's any good!
BM - Trip to and round Asda and some ironing when it cools down a bit
HEXA x 2 - Pint of milk before bed
HEXB 2 if I fancy it - either a few Weetabix chocolate minis or an alpen light bar0 -
Kathrynha - glad you're feeling a little stronger after being given the blood. I honestly don't know how you can even think about dieting at the moment - you're a trooper! x0

To be quite honest, I'm not properly on plan at the moment. I'm just trying to not put on too much weight. What I eat is one thing in my life I still have some control over.Zebras rock0 -
Great loss Bubbs :jGreat result beanie and good loss for you too bubbs :TWI last night.
Lost 6.5 lbs. Hazel lost 2 lbs and brought total to 1 & 1/2 Stone in 9 weeks.
Well done to all the other Losers. Keep trying those that STS or gained.
Thanks for all the tips about Diet drinks and other alternatives. Gots some good tips from my group and had another man join. Not many of us. Going to get my measurements done this afternoon and take some photos.
Have written up my training plan to follow for the next 6 weeks. Walking, Running, Biking, Exercises. Should give Hazel a few ideas.
Breakfast now Bitesize Shredded Wheat with Milk. This will be my A & B choices 50% of the week. Rarely have milk now so good source of Calcium for me. (Hard to only eat 30g of cheese more like 150g with lots of onion and doorstop bread) Love raw Onion and Garlic! (shame other people don't)
Dinner tonight is Fish, SW Chips, Peas, Shrooms, and salad.
This weekend we will be working on menus for the next 2 weeks.

It's moving again in the right direction Sorry it's not Red and bold.:TCeycey1980 wrote: »Well done bubbs, beanie (I bet you're glad you resisted those thins!), wiz and Merlin - fab results!
Meal out last night was good - overall I made good choices as I had chicken and sweetcorn soup, vegetable tempura maki roll (only a few pieces had the the tempura- rest was just little pieces of avocado) and i had blackened salmon with steamed rice. I also had 3 spring rolls. So i was over syns but not massively so and nothing else planned until weigh day now so that's my treat night.
On the topic of coke/pepsi. I can't drink normal coke - it makes my teeth feel weird.. like they are corroding from the sugar haha I am a coke zero girl. I find Pepsi max/diet Pepsi far too sweet.
today's plan
Breakfast: 40g weetabix minis with 100ml milk and an apple
Lunch - Subway chicken tikka salad - 1syn for mayo which I will add myself. I will also have a fat free muller yogurt and some fruit.
Dinner- Count on Us Chicken Bacon and Mushroom Pie with beans and salad.
Syns - will see what little sweet treat I fancy l later this evening!
Happy Friday everyone!Meal sounds lovely:D

Great stuff, wiz.

top girl I've screen shot that recipe it looks amazing!
I've just had my dinner. I ended up doing -
Yellow and orange peppers (never green I don't like the green personally)
Red onion
Stick of celery
Frozen peas, big handful
500g turkey mince, lean
Cajun seasoning
Vegetable stock cube
Tabasco sauce (personal taste can omit)
Worcestershire sauce
Uncle bens cooked wholemeal rice
Cooked off the vegetables except the peas for a couple of minutes, added in the mince plus some salt and pepper, sprinkle of Cajun seasoning.
Once cooked added the stock cube with a little bit of water plus Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce to own taste or omit if you don't want it
Add the rice and peas
Add more seasoning if needed. I like mine medium heat, check it's ok though.
Ensure it's fully heated up
Eat and enjoy!
It was amazing and I've got loads left for lunch tomorrow. Unfortunately the mince was previously frozen so I cannot re-freeze it but hubby will most likely have some later when he gets home from work.
I have been a bit naughty today. A colleague made brownies at work, used avocado instead of butter in it (couldn't taste it though). I ended up having two pieces BUT I've not had any syns today so I'm hoping it's no more than 15 for them. I could have eaten the whole box they were that good so to only have two is actually quite controllrd for me. I'd have only driven myself crazy thinking about them had I not tried them. I have a very sweet tooth so desserts/cakes/chocolate etc is my downfall
I see others posting about diet drinks. I have no preference as to which, it all depends which is on offer. I generally go for Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi though opposed to Max or Zero versions. I cannot drink normal cola/Pepsi though it's far to sweet and leaves a fur like feel to my teeth. Although I have a sweet tooth sweet drinks is not my thing. I've been drinking "diet" now for over 10 years and will carry on so regardless:money::rotfl::T0
