Top Girl Thanks for the link. Have pasted it to word and printed it out. Will dry it next week as a test. I would go for the Curry and the wine!

esmy Thanks for the Recipe. Look to try that also.

maman Lunch before WI I would eat all salad items as they are mostly water. Sure I read somewhere that you consume more calories eating lettuce and cucumber than you get from them.

We went to the Cinema tonight to see Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Sci-Fi fairy tale. Not bad but nothing to write home about. 6/10

Cinema for me is normally a Big box of Malteasers and 2 cans of Pepsi. Another item stock piled in the Garage. 6 slabs. Only drink it when I go to cinema or for friends that come round. Oh and sometimes in Vodka and Bacardi:D Knew the Pepsi was 7 syns a can but checked out the chocolate. 300g box 90 Syns

Took the Pepsi with me but changed the Malteasers for 400g of white seedless grapes. Pleased to report that after devouring the grapes during the film never got round to drinking the Pepsi.

wizkid1 [STRIKE]What are S/W Chips?[/STRIKE] Just tought about it SW Doh! then googled it. Chips here we come!

Maman - I doubt a salad would be enough for me for lunch if I would be going to an evening WI. I would go for something a bit more substantial but still light. Think I'd go for something like a fritatta or Spanish omelette with a big salad.

Going to WI this morning. Have had a fairly good week this week and am hoping for at least a lb but won't hold my breath as I know I don't often lose more than 0.5!

Today's plan is for a Green day:

    B - fruit after WI
L - creamy basil and chilli pasta - a new recipe for me from the SW website
D - egg, chips, mushrooms, beans

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB1 - Ryvita
    HEB2 - Hifi bars

    Good morning all,

Had a good clubbercise class last night. They decided to do it outdoors which made it interesting!

    Today's plan -

    B - 2 alpen light (I wasn't that hungry) HexB

L - jacket potato with baked beans. Muller light and fruit tower of Apple grapes and frozen mixed berries

D - homemade spaghetti bolognese. The bolognese is already made (I prefer it the day after I find it tastes better) with lean minced beef, onion, garlic, herbs, seasoning, fresh tomatoes, tinned tomatoes and tomato puree. Having that with wholewheat pasta and as my syns 2 slices of reduced fat garlic bread

S- cheese sticks HexA and crab sticks

Syns - 2 garlic bread slices which I think will be 5 each

Exercise - 10,000 steps minimum but no gym or classes tonight as I've done 3 in a row.

  • Haha I love how I was the only one saying it was ok to eat the thins (only cos they're low syn,mind!).... I must be a bad influence... quite concerned I am going to get kicked off the board if I carry on like this! ;)
Well the good news is I didn't have the teacake at work - woo hoo.
I had PT after work which was tough but always feels good to do some body magic!
Then dinner plans changed as I ended up going around to my mums for dinner - and had ratatouille with rice. It was yummy and SW friendly. However, as I didn't make it myself I am calling it 6 syns for the oil.
I then went home and watched Long Lost Family (always makes me teary!) and had a Nature Valley Popcorn Bar (Salted Caramel, Almond & Pretzel flavour) - lovely and only 4 syns So i ended the day 11.5 syns.
Barrie well done on filling yourself up on grapes rather than maltesers and you didn't even need the pepsi - bonus!
Kathynha - sorry you're puking again :( are you feeling any better today?
    Hello to all the newbies!

    Today's Menu:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, beans and mushrooms and a frothy coffee( half my HexA)

Lunch: Mediterranean Style Pasta Mugshot (free) with salad and half a Kingsmill thin (1/2 hexB) with 15g of cheese melted on top (other half of my HexA)

I have an Alpen Light bar for the other half of my HexB which I will have at some point today..

Dinner: I am out for dinner tonight - Japanese restaurant.. I need to study the menu before I go and see what the best options are (probably fish and sushi) but I will have my full 15 syns plus whatever I didn't use yesterday to play with. I MUST NOT have dessert!!!

I agree. It's the same with chilli. I think the meat marinates in the sauce.

I always use Bolognese as an opportunity for more Speed such that now I would find that I'd miss the veg. Typically I'd add diced carrot, courgette, peppers, celery and mushrooms.

Today is a bit of a mess so far. I was meant to be out first thing but change of plan so I could have gone to earlier WI after all. So I'm still to decide what time I'll go.Thanks for the tips on lunches. Unfortunately, being Thursday, I don't have much salad stuff in otherwise I could cope with nibbling on cucumber but may go for a small omelette.

So far I've had my usual WI breakfast of Bran Flakes._pale_ I'll report back later when I've sorted the rest of the day.

Do you like slimline Pepsi Barrie? I think the slabs would be on the way to the foodbank if they were mine.

We call it Fat Coke/Pepsi or Fin Coke/Pepsi. Tried the Fin stuff years ago and hated it. I know the diet ones are free but I cannot do it. Will see how I go over the next month and if we have not drunk any will give them away.

Its our WI this evening:eek: resisting the urge to get on the scales.:D

    Have a successful day everyone.

Back from WI and disappointed with a STS but better than a gain!

Was peckish after my strawberries this morning so had one of my Hifi bars (0.5 HEB2)

Just about to cook lunch before it gets too late.

Good luck with your WI. I think you're wise to keep away from the scales at home.

It's each to his own as far as syns are concerned. If you really like full fat Pepsi then that's fine. Syns are there to be used and if you think they're worth it then they're worth it.

I'd have willingly swapped you for STS denise. I gained half a pound!

After posting I went online and found a group with a late morning WI. It's actually the group that's considered my 'home' group. I like the consultant although my original person has gone back to a 'proper job' and doesn't do morning sessions any more. I even stayed just in case I learned something but I didn't.:( I think it was probably going a day early and eating out last weekend although I thought I was within syns it's difficult to judge in restaurants. All I can do is keep plodding and it'll take as long as it takes.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Bran Flakes, HEA milk
L: JP with veggie chilli, beetroot, cornichons and cottage cheese
D: Austrian ham hash (onions, celery, carrots, mushroom, tomatoes, spring onions) with sugar snaps and broccoli
    Syns: NONE!
  • Bubbs

I think you can use the bgood wraps as well (I think, but don't quote me, that they are the gluten free ones)

I think this is my attitude as well maman - though I am longing for the (fri)day that I can have an Indian and not have to worry about the compulsory weigh in on Saturday morning!
