    Hello lovelies :)

A horrible rainy day here so I am having a lazy one with Top Boy and Top Dog :)

Thoroughly loving being term time only at the moment, I'm tired all the time, the prospect of another five weeks off is a truly beautiful one. Well, I'm going in for a couple of days over the summer to make up some time, but nothing major.

B - Leftover dirty rice (don't judge me :D ), GoGo on toast and some fruit.

D - Creole fish and corn stew - delicious, free and filling

T - Not sure yet, meeting Top Man at the Asda later on so we'll pick then.

    Hope you're all well.

Beanie - you don't need the biscuits!! Stay strong

We've been told at work we are definitely having a xmas party so I'm focusing on getting myself into a size 10 dress. Focus on goal, I find it helps. Xx

I’m planning a fish week next week, esmy, so that recipe will come in handy. Thanks.

Stopping for now at the end of p25; I’ll pick up again tomorrow.

Welcome back greentiger - I've just posted a creole fish and corn stew recipe that is one of my absolute favourites if you're a fan of fish dishes with a twist.

Can't see the recipe! Can you post please?

  • Hi,

Has anyone got any recipes for using up extra rice? I always make too much and was thinking a rice salad or something. I know you have to be careful with rice but I haven't had any bad experiences.... yet!

    Thanks in advance.

BEANIE, what about a syn friendly hot chocolate to curb your sweet cravings? Those days when you just want to eat biccies are torturous. Try keeping yourself occupied too, try and achieve something before dinner (maybe something you've been putting off for a while) and reward yourself with a huge filling dinner that will tide you over til the morning. I know it's hard tho so I wish you luck x

joedenise That's a good idea about the Food Bank, will have to look into that.

Certainly for the jars. There are so many lovely free curry sauce etc recipes around, I put a vindaloo(ish) one on here a while back for those who like their curry with a wee kick on this page:

21 syns is two big glasses of wine or a jar of sauce - I know which I'd have rinsed on a Friday night if I was drinking :D

Food banks are such a lovely way to get shut of stuff like that too, I love thinking I'm giving a family part of an evening meal as well as taking temptation out of my own way!

    Good morning all,

I weighed myself this morning. I'm very pleased to see a slimming world first weigh in at 3.5lbs loss :)

    Meal plan for today -

    B - 2 alpen light (HexB), 2 scrambled eggs

L - tin of spaghetti hoops, 3 babybel light (HexA), tower of fruit which includes frozen mixed berries, Apple and green grapes

D - I've got a packet of Heck spring chicken sausages, which is anybody can confirm. I think they are 1 syn per 2 sausages? There's 10 in a packet so I will have 5 for 2.5 syns plus lots of vegetables and a jacket potato (if I have time to get it in)

S - crab sticks and maybe a cheeky 2 finger kit Kat (5.5 syns)

Exercise - clubbercise tonight plus a minimum 10,000 steps
    :T:T:Twell done

WW wraps are an HEB so could use those. Loads of people on my groups SW facebook page have been making them lately - ranging from minced beef (Asda canned I think if Free) to cheese & onion using HEA of cheese. Another popular one is chicken & mushroom using the SW mushroom sauce. Haven't tried them myself but may hit the "pie" spot.

Thanks, i looked for the wraps in morries and asda but couldnt find them:(

bubbs Pie!!!!! Brings back memories of Cartman from Southpark. I just love Pie! I could have pie every night. Love Pie! My M&S Steak and Ale pies are 31 syns each! :(

joedenise We are Vindaloo people at a push Madras. We do add tins of chopped Tomatoes. Sorry can not do Vegtables in curry. We use either Pork, Lamb, Beef or Chicken for our curry. Cooking bigger pots is a great idea just need to make room in our packed Freezers. Have decided to give away 9 of my Apple pies. Cannot just let them all go!

Having looked at what I have eaten since Friday I need to be eating more. I just have not felt hungry. I have been drinking much more Coffee and Squash and I have only used by my calculations 30 of my available 125 syns. Not sure if its cutting out bread because its was so easy to polish off 6 slices without thinking. Not had any Wine in a week either and not been bothered by that.

Well done Shiprob. Hope you win.

Just had a bowl of 3 Peaches for breakfast. 1st time I have had peaches not out of a tin!:D
Its my hubby with the pie, he als could eat every day given half the chance, he is not getting the half let alone whole:rotfl::rotfl:
    Fresh peaches are lovely:D
