Thanks you Saverupper! Wow you learn something new everyday!! I
First weigh in today and I lost 3lbs
I'm soooo happy!
And I have the day off today so I'm about to get some body magic in and go for a run- my aim is to train up to doing a half marathon!:j0 -
Some great losses and well done Bubbs again for SOTW. Thanks for the chart Kathrynha - you're doing a sterling job when you've felt so poorly.
I made this last night, suitably adapted for SW - delicious! I'm trying to think of different ways to cook fish and this hit the spot.

Oops, looks like I got distracted before finishing yesterday's post
Well done Bubbs and thank you Kathryn for the chart!
Welcome to the newbies! All this talk of losing 2st by Christmas has got my cogs whirring...
Finally did a proper shop yesterday so my fridge is full of lovely Speed. Fully on plan yesterday and finished on 12 Syns, not so good Monday though. I honestly think I'd be able to lose steadily even if I have weekends 'off', if only I could rein myself back in promptly on a Monday :wall:
I'm trying a new tactic for drinking more water: every time I boil the kettle for a cuppa, I have to drink a mug of water first. I was definitely on the loo more yesterday!
I've also stocked up on several supplements, particularly those for joints, as I'm just fed up of feeling like sht. I'm tired all the time and I don't think that's normal for a 35 yo, particularly with no children to run around after.
Anyway today's menu:
B - Mushrooms on toast, butter 3
D - That new potato and asparagus salad with an egg, from the latest magazine - very excited for this it looks delish!
T - Prawn stir fry (grated carrot, onion, mushrooms, beansprouts) and egg noodles, made with soy sauce (free)
HEA - Milk
HEB - Bread (2x WM crustless)
Syns - Sugar 4, butter 3, hot choc 2 = 9
Wiz that lentil and bacon soup sounds lovely - it's deffo soup weather up here in the NE!
Oh brilliant loss Kathryn, what a way to get it though! Hope it cheered you up a bit after a horrible week xx
Gorgeous TIE! The detail in the wings and the little loveheart. I'd love another tattoo but can't decide where on my body I'd have it... I'll take the plunge one day no doubt.
Well done on your first loss Ceycey! And on the running, I've been out with a sprained ankle for nine weeks now and I miss it so much (I never realised I enjoyed it tbh!)
Have a good day all xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
:T well done on your loss ceycey. I'm envious!:D
The lentil and bacon soup from wiz is delicious tete. I used to only make soup when I had stock from boiling gammon but this is made with a stock cube and just as good. Next I'm going to try topgirl's leek and potato.
Thanks for the fish tip esmy. I've been trying to up my fish intake but it can be expensive. I experimented by buying a bag of frozen Pollock. It was acceptable but I won't do it again:(. We had it in fish parcels on Monday and I've seen a Mexican style recipe that cooks fish in a tomato and pinto beans spicy sauce. When it's used up I'll be sticking with salmon, cod and haddock. Anyone noticed that a range of beans seems difficult to come by lately? I'll probably have to go to Sainsbury's or Waitrose.
I've got to target and maintained quite well by having almost all my syns at weekends tete. The secret (although it's no secret really:)) is planning. My meal plan for Monday to Friday is almost syn free except for a few sauces/gravy. I can manage that fairly easily but it won't work if you're the sort of person who needs a daily treat to look forward to or needs syns for your meals.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, fried veg and pickles (SP meal, no potatoes)chicken stir fry with noodles
Syns: tbsp. honey in stir fry0 -

Did you syn the brioche in the recipe or sub with a WM roll?
Bubbs - I use most of my syns at the weekend but tot up on Monday morning and work out how many syns I've got left until WI on Thursday morning. Usually works out I've got about 8 a day for Mon - Wed which is plenty.
I really enjoyed yesterday's SP day, particularly the pork & herb meatballs & ratatouille sauce from the website. Definitely needed the 2nd HEB and had 4 Ryvita spread with Quark, ham & cucumber at about 9 o'clock as I was hungry. That's the problem with SP for me - I definitely need some carbs most days!
Today's back to EE:
B - bacon, mushroom & lettuce sandwich - HEB + 2
L - stuffed peppers with chorizo, tomatoes, garlic & a little bread (about 1/2 slice) 5.5 syns
D - 2 sausages (1 syn), mash & veg - not sure what veg yet but probably brussels, brocolli & peas; rhubarb fool (1.5)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - 10 as above

Denise
Wholemeal roll for me, white rolls for the others, haddock instead of cod (it's what I had in) 0% fat greek yoghurt for the marinade, pickled gherkins instead of cucumber in the salad, served with couscous with lots of fresh herbs chopped in, so the only syns were in the tiny bit of olive oil added to the marinade.
Maman, I wasn't a fan of fish when I was younger so tend to stick to cod, haddock, salmon and occasionally prawns or mussels. OH likes kippers - I have to leave the house when he cooks them!0 -

B - Mushrooms on toast, butter 3
D - That new potato and asparagus salad with an egg, from the latest magazine - very excited for this it looks delish! (0.5 syns)
T - Prawn stir fry (grated carrot, onion, mushrooms, beansprouts) and egg noodles, made with soy sauce (free)
HEA - Milk
HEB - Bread (2x WM crustless)
Syns - Sugar 4, butter 3, hot choc 2, lunch 0.5, jelly (0.5) with fresh raspberries = 10
Can confirm the New Potato and Asparagus salad from page 59 of the Aug/Sept mag is delicious, I'm having it again tomorrow!
Will see how I go, flexi-syn wise, Maman. I do use plenty during the week and tend not to count at all at the weekend so it's very flexi indeedWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
