    Hello everyone,

Can I join please? I have my first SW meeting today at 7.30pm. A little nervous.

I have done SW briefly several times before but never taken it seriously and usually fell off as I couldnt/didnt want to go to class. I now need to get off 2.5 stones by the end of the year. Is that doable on this?

I was thinking of becoming an online member but its quite expensive.

How do I join the facebook group?

Can't help you with FB but if you do the math then it's very possible to lose that by the end of the year. It's 2.5 stone so 35lbs in 5 months so 7 lb a month. Stick to the plan and you can do it. kathryna will be along soon to explain how to add yourself to the challenge. :)

The best explanation of Puffed Wheat wiz is like popcorn with no seasoning at all. It's quite tasteless but you get a good portion and it's chewy. I bought Kellogs Bran Flakes but didn't like them at all. Maybe because you have fruit with yours they're more palatable.

Been a busy day today. Loads of washing, most of which dried on the line between the showers! Just a few bits a bit damp when I bought them in.

Been shopping and now have some fruit and frozen veg & salad stuff. Have had an on plan day and no syns so far but have bought some popcorn - the wholegrain Sunbite ones (think they're 3 or 3.5 depending on flavour), so may have a packet of those later.

    Today's food so far:
B - Honey Monster puffs (HEB); milk (part HEA)
    L - veg omelette
D - oxtail stew (from freezer); mash

    HEA - milk
    HEB - cereal
Syns - popcorn possibly this evening (3)

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better kathrynha and that you've decided to plan some food for today.

Welcome GoodnessGraciousMe - this will probably get abbreviated to "GGM" on here as it's such a long name! 2.5 stone by the end of the year is quite possible - it works out at less than 2lb a week so definitely doable for most people (although I've never loss that amount in a week but didn't have very much to lose and have been at target for about 6 years or so).

Can I join too? I've got quite a bit to lose (I want to lose another 4 stone 8lbs now as ive been on it 2 weeks and lost the beginner weight so I know it will be a challenge from now).

I bought the slimming world books off ebay just before going on holiday and they came with some books which have been useful. I recogn it might take me 2 or so years but I'm more than happy with that as it will still be a bonus.

Me and my mum (well mums kind of doing it in her own way) are trying it. Weighing every week or 2 at boots as like I said our scales can change 5lb across the kitchen.

Is it until 2nd week of September? If so I'll put myself down for 10lbs as if I can have something to work to it will hopefully keep me on track.

That and some of you guys have done amazing - definately something to aim towards

Welcome. of course you can join us. This challenge has I think 6 weeks left to run (at which point we start a new challenge). If you tell me how much you would like to lose in 6 weeks I can add you to the spreadsheet.
When you weigh in just post on the thread how much you have lost, preferably in large red text, and I will update the spreadsheet.

Afraid I'm not responsible for the facebook group

Only threw up 3 times today. That is definitely an improvement :)

    So what I've eaten today:
Breakfast - third of a yogurt
    Lunch - pasta salad
    Dinner - stir fry
    Snack - strawberries

We had the same problem in the kitchen, can be 5lbs different depending on where they were put so now paying 50p to weigh at boots

My scales are the same so they stay in the same spot in the bathroom and I weigh at the same time on the same day of the week. They have been OK up to now so I'm going for Maman's fluid retention theory! Oh and thank you Bubbs for asking, I had a great holiday.

Hope you're feeling a bit better Kathrynha now you have your medication.

    Welcome to the thread newbies.
