Well done to those that have posted loses and hugs to any gainers.

How are you feeling today Maman?

I have a food plan for today. Whether it happens or not is another matter, but I think I need a plan, as the new drugs are helping a little.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
Lunch - pasta salad. Hoping a more carby lunch, rather than my normal lots of speed lunch will be gentler on the stomach
    Dinner - stir fry
Snacks - Aldi quavers, cereal bars

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - cereal bars
    Syns - salad dressing (1), quavers (3)

I know it's a typo but it did make me laugh wiz. I bought my first and last box of Bran Fakes last month but I'll have to eat them until I remember to get some Puffed Wheat. Meanwhile DH has been mixing them with his muesli. I expected them to be crunchy and taste like All Bran. Big disappointment.

I'm fine today kathrynha. Thanks for asking. The back pain went away and then it took a lot of yesterday to get rid of the drowsy effects of medication. Good idea to make a plan. I was thinking of you yesterday and what you might eat that was gentle.

I thought of soup, maybe miso soup. I can see you've got leek and potato topgirl. Wiz has got vegetable. Sadly it's soup weather.:(

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: ham, fried veg and cornichons
D: chicken casserole (carrots, celery, butter beans, leeks, onions) with new potatoes, cabbage
    Syns: tbsp. cornflour in sauce

    Glad you're feeling better.

I love miso soup. It's one of my go-to ingredients. Use it in my HM pot noodles, which can be more noodle soup like than pot noodle like. That's what tonight dinner will be if I don't fancy stir fry.
Really trying to stick to salads though. It is summer, I refuse to accept that it is soup weather! :)

This soup is one of my favourite things - so much so that I was even eating it during the heatwave!

SW friendly, baby friendly, all good.

200g peeled potato cut into chunks
Pack Asda smartprice smoked bacon (all fat removed, cut up and cooked)
    2 carrots peeled and chopped
    1 leek, chopped
    1 onion, peeled and chopped
A handful of red lentils (recipe said pearl barley, but am not a fan)
    800g chicken stock

I chuck it all in the soup maker for half an hour, but sure it'd be fine in a pan, then blender. Delicious and very filling, especially if I have a sneaky HEXB barm too :)

    Hi all

Well done to everyone on the losses!

Kathryna - glad that you have managed to get hold of the drugs and hope that they are now kicking in x

Esmy - that happens to me all the time after a holiday - I always gain an extra few pounds from the flight alone (air pressure and all that) and then within a day or two most of it drops off (well apart from what was gained in fat!)

I was definitely off plan Friday - had steak and lobster tail with fries and mac n cheese as sides (but I only ate about half of the fries and less than half of the mac n cheese which was delicious) also had two cocktails and a glass of champagne and a most of the key lime pie!
But was positively angelic the rest of the weekend as planned, so i'm feeling very pleased with myself. Have continued to write down everything I eat and I think its working for me to be accountable (even if only to myself).

    Today's plan:

Breakfast - 2 x no crust kingsmill sandwich with a sausage (4.5) and an egg (free) and then the third slice of the no crust kingsmill (HexB for three slices) with the PB Fit Peanut butter powder (1)
Lunch - I had a honey and mustard smoked salmon fillet from m&s (free) with couscous (1) and salad and some fruit
Dinner - I'm making the SW lasagne tonight so i'll be having a portion of that with salad and then freezing the rest
That leaves me 8.5 syns for a sweet snack plate tonight.. :)

Well done Wizkid on your loss. Hugs for Maman and Orlao on your gains.

Thanks for all your kind and caring words.

Managed to throw up only twice today and feeling really tired and yukky. All expected side effects, but got a prescription for some drugs to help a bit, but pharmacy has had to order them, so won't get them till next week :(

Might be worth ringing round the bigger pharmacies or ask at the hospital as they might let you get them from there

    Afternoon all.

Well, I'm confused! Came back from hols on Thursday, weighed Friday as usual and scales showed a gain of 4.5lbs:eek:! Which would have meant I'd really lost the plot on holiday. I didn't, apart from perhaps more alcohol than usual on a couple of days. Weighed this am and now showing a half pound gain. I definitely haven't lost 4lbs in two days so not sure what's going on. I replaced the battery in my scales recently and wonder if there's a fault?? So I won't record a weight this week, if that's OK, and see where I'm at next Friday.

Well done all the losers, keep plodding gainers, and my best wishes to those unwell at the moment.

We had the same problem in the kitchen, can be 5lbs different depending on where they were put so now paying 50p to weigh at boots
    :T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one :) :beer::beer::beer:
