Cough cough cough, that's all I seem to do and I am limited to what I can take with my medication for diabetes and high blood pressure. I can only have. Simple Linctus. I have had a full bottle and it's made no difference I have also gone through a Vicks Vaporub to no avail. I think I will just have to ride it out.It was a good job I'd had my flu jab.:) :)
So my menu for Saturday . I don't know why I am doing it because I am not eating all I write down .

Breakfast.. porridge A/B strawberries , Raspberries.

Lunch.. A. cheese and egg on toast 6 syns. side salad. Clementine

Dinner..B.gammon s/w Chios garden peas pickled cauliflower. Apple.

    Extra f f yoghurt. 2 crackerbread/butter 5 syns.
    11 syns.
Funeral was sad, Auntie was the last of my father's siblings she was the last born and weighed as much as a pound of sugar a miracle for those days, my Grandmother kept her in a shoe box lined with cotton wool and she fed her with a dropper or sometimes a match dipped in milk and dropped into her mouth. But she lasted 94 years and passed away a few hours before her Birthday. May she Rest in Peace.:A

Morning all :A ☀️ Is shining, looks like a great day for a wedding :D

WI this morning but forgot until I'd had my coffee and meds AND walked the dog :o oh well. Still a half off :D. Was so hoping for more as most of my meals have been eesp this week and I was more restrained last weekend :p. Hey ho still a loss.

Found out there's no parking at church so have to park and walk a fair way in those shoes  so taking my trainers though :rotfl:

Not sleeping well as anxiety high, back to work Monday :(

Hope everyone has a good weekend :A

Morning everyone. Looking like a lovely day here so more blackberry picking on the agenda! It seems like no one around here bothers any more as I picked loads last weekend all in easy reach. Free speed food, what's not to like??

Sadly 1/2lb on for me this week - no idea why that should be as I've been good, honest! So another challenge failed...however the overall trend is still downwards so I'll regard the target as a figure to aim at. Only 7 lbs to my original target weight I set when I joined SW in January so this should be my target for the next challenge. I set it at the top end of healthy BMI for my height and a weight I was stable at for a number of years before I woke up on my 40th birthday with a belly I never had and 2 stone heavier!

Bit of meal planning and shopping today - Mrs Ryan what are Broghies???

Congrats losers, commiserations to fellow gainers, keep up the good work everyone!

Hope the wedding goes well tie. We know you'll look fab in your purple outfit and getting a loss to start the day has to be a bonus!:T

(I won't lecture you about the stress of your job today but you really should speak to management about it or move to different job IMO)

That's only a tiny gain esmy. Not bad at all after your family weekend. When you say 'original target weight', do you plan to set it lower when you get there?

I know I won't be able to stay within syns this week as I'll be eating out for 3 days but at least I can try to be good when I can. Today's going to be a good day on the gin plan:D. I've got lunch sorted but I may not be at home in which case I'll have a JP or salad out and roll my plan over to tomorrow.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs
L: ham with fried veg and pickles (SP lunch)
D: baked haddock, new potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, courgettes and runner beans
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, gin.:)
  • Oh TIE I can totally relate to that. Giving up teaching is the best thing I ever did.

I'm just hanging about here waiting for the new challenge to start  Managed to 'achieve' my highest ever weight thanks to the stress of my cat almost dying then my gran being ill and in and out of hospital all in the five weeks or so following two very foodie and boozy holidays, all exacerbated by the sprained ankle which is STILL not better.

September always makes me feel all fresh and motivated though (except when I was a teacher - ha!) so I'm aiming to lose 20lb by new year (17 weeks - I think that's a sensible target).

    Hope everyone is well! xx

I might do - I want to stay within the healthy BMI boundaries for my height (5'8'') so I think it would be sensible to go a few pounds under the top end if I can. Even as a healthy weight adult I've never been close to the bottom end so I'm being realistic.. and I'd be worried about my face collapsing if I go too far!

TIE sorry to read about your anxiety at returning to work - I think it's something many of us here will recognise. I don't have any helpful suggestions apart from a very wise ex colleague's reminder that 'It's only work, it's not your life'. Best wishes.
  • Congratulations topgirl & well done bubbs!

Came away from WI today showing a + 1/2 lb which I thought was brilliant as I came away from the BH weekend with a 6lb gain ( yes I did go overboard )

Going to do what I did this week so will see if it was a fluke as hubby seems to think or whether I've finally hit the magic formula lol!

Emsy I'm so with you - I don't think I've ever hit my challenge target but this week I wore a weighted vest which was just short of 2stones. Now bearing in mind I've lost 3.5 stones I couldn't believe I spent years carrying that weight around with me all the time ....so yes I'm with you as long as it goes downwards overall I don't care!

TIE - take care of yourself. I know a lot of people in education, at all levels & what you're experiencing seems all too familiar. Makes you wonder if there isn't something seriously wrong with the system if all grades of staff are feeling the same way.

After a year of doing SW (where has the time gone!) I've finally set a target of 5 stones......I had planned to lose 5.5 stones, and may still change it but I felt I needed to commit to something!

Planning on making the Diet Pepsi chicken tonight.....thus could be interesting!
