Well done, Saver-upper ( and wow, that was determination), WJN and shiprob (great result from GP programme too).

That promotion sounds a really positive move, lush. with a lot of potential for personal development. Enjoy the opportunity.

Sunshinemummy, just when you think you’re safe ……. You must be a very welcoming person for DS2G to feel she can call your home hers too - a real compliment. But it does need chocolate.

Hello again, Eric. I did SW online, didn’t really find it useful, sorry.

My DS & GF are starting Masters in Sept but much as I love them both I am glad to say they do not live with me any more :rotfl:

Well done to DS and GF. :T:T:T:T

I just cannot get rid of them.... and they keep multiplying!

I have been reading about papaya seeds and I know where I went wrong..

'Taking a teaspoon of Papaya Seeds daily for 3 months seems to work well. Studies with rats and monkeys showed no sperm production after taking Papaya Seeds for 90 days… with no side effects. And when the Papaya Seeds were removed from the diet fertility came back to normal.'

I should have been grinding papaya seeds into OH's meals....... :D:D:D:D:D

    Evening gobster!

    Todays meals............

    Breakfast - overnight oats.
Lunch - tomato and grapes (don't ask, I was meant to have beans. tomato and grapes..... but it never worked out!)
Tea - I cannot get in the kitchen, as DS2's girlfriend has returned to live with us after her holiday with her mum. They are making papaya salad... so the kitchen is a no go zone. I have however researched papaya seeds, and ate a few of them!

I have just been told that instead of going to do her masters in September she is going to look for a job were we live, and live with us. I NEED CHOCOLATE AND BREAD AND PASTRY NOW, IMMEDIATELY, DESPERATELY.....:o:o:o:o

  • Morning all,

Well, since the weekend I have eaten rather a lot of chocolate. Probably nothing compared to what I used to eat but certainly too much for SW. It was good though! Line drawn and onwards. The rest of my meals have been totally on plan so the choc was my only indiscretion.

Welcome back LUSH and FLATERIC. I use my sister's online SW login to check for syn values. I follow the old green plan as I'm vegetarian. I'd prefer a group out of the two options, I loved my old group but no longer go as the consultant left. I find the rest of the site not that easy to navigate, but maybe that's just me.

Well done MERLIN on SOTW, you are doing really well.

Sorry to hear your household is growing SSM, sounds like you don't really have a choice! Hope you can stay away from the chocolate.

I'm loving stir frys at the moment, they're a great way to get lots of speed in and a really tasty substantial meal that seems like a takeaway. I've been using Morrisons and Waitrose sauces which do have syns but if divided up between me and the Mr they are well within my plan. Seems like a good trade off, a few syns for a delish dinner.

    Today is...

Breakfast - melon, yoghurt, heB toast
    Lunch - egg salad
Dinner - quorn sausage, pepper, sweet potato, red onion and tomato balsamic bake (SW recipe I think)

2 syns for the balsamic and no others planned for the day.

    Good luck all x

MSM -I notice you say you're following the Green plan but you only seem to have 1 HEB. You do realise that you can have 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs, don't you?

It's a Green day for me today (final chance to do some damage limitation before tomorrow's WI!)

B - overnight oats with loads of frozen fruit (HEB1)
L - cheesy pizza toasts - bread rubbed with garlic, tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, topped with cheese (HEB2 & HEA1)
D - egg, chips, mushrooms, beans (DH will probably have bacon as well)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB1 - oats
    HEB2 - bread
Syns - crumpet; spread 5.5; nothing else planned

I'm assuming that's some sort of balsamic dressing msm because plain balsamic vinegar is syn free. I'm going to look for the recipe as could be a way of ringing the changes with sausages.

    ETA:http://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/balsamic-glazed-sausages-with-roasted-veg.aspx

If it's this recipe then it's syn free. I like those type of tray bakes, I add whatever's in the fridge.

Not sure what's happening today foodwise. We have this funeral and then we're out tonight as well. Have planned an easy from the freezer meal just in case and will have a light lunch as well before we leave to try to keep me away from buffet.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: ham, fried egg, mushrooms and beetroot
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
    Syns: who knows??
  • Hi MAMAN,

Yes, that's pretty much the recipe, it's good comfort food. I'm using up a bottle of balsamic glaze so that's where the syns are, only a couple though. It is great for using up stuff in the fridge but my staples are red onion, peppers, sweet potatoes and tomatoes. I've also used courgettes, aubergine, squash and normal potatoes in the past. Even my husband likes it and we usually eat it with a baked potato. One tip, cut the potato slices thinly as they don't seem to roast well (though this could just be my oven!). Hope you enjoy it.

JOEDENISE, yes you're right, sometimes I'm not that great at getting both HeBs. I always get my heAs, maybe I should look for new options for the B, thanks for pointing it out. When I went to group I never had this issue as I was addicted to the hifi bars. Omg they were so good, I miss them!

  • Good afternoon all,

had my interview this morning, so a rushed sinful breakfast whilst preparing at home but still less syns than a mcd's or caf! sandwich! not sure how it went but I am sure it would be a hard transition and not the kind of role I am looking for in the end. at least current employer wants to keep me hey?!

so on to lunch: frozen rice (free) will half pack of aldi lamb rogan josh (1.5syn) a pear and a kiwi with a pepsi max ginger (this stuff is life I swear!)

tea later: post gym will be an omelette - 3 eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and ham. may have a wholemeal roll with it as currently no heb planned

hea is milk. may split it depending on how many more cups of tea I have and have some cheese on my omelette.

Only other syns are the goodies yogurt I didn't eat yesterday at 2.5 :)
