Abbafan, in Scotland we stop for ‘summer’ (I use that term very loosely) at the end of June. Some authorities had kids back yesterday, so staff would have been before that. Other areas go back next week.
Well done, sarahj and TG.
Your stories make me smile, merlin. DH and I like most veg - can’t stand fennel or artichoke, can eat aubergine and courgette but they’re a bit meh, prefer sugar snaps to mange tout. Couldn’t do that many raw mushrooms! Don’t like pickled eggs. That was some combination in your mess tin! Don’t like kidneys either – can’t eat Kate and Sidney pud at all as the kidneys flavour the whole thing, ugh!
It’s been a rotten day SW wise, all because of timings going wrong. Hey ho start again tomorrow.
Breakfast: Skyr ff raspberry yogurt with blueberries (I WAS thinking ahead at this point)
Lunch: didn’t get it, was at DDiLs with DGCs while she was doing an errand; she was late back so we didn’t have time for lunch before we took kids to cinema so we had a bunch of popcorn and a bag of Maltesers between us (not kids, they had their own stuff) After cinema kids we went to MacDs. I had a chicken legend with spicy mayo, no chips
Dinner: (back on track) spaghetti Bolognese with a little Parmesan (2)
Snacks: 2 gingernuts (4) while waiting for DDiL
pear with hexa cheese
Morning off from school run (SiL doing it), but I have to go and feed the kitten at lunch time and then do the school pick up later. I have to go for groceries, so I think I’ll go later and fit kitten in with that. Glad I was writing this as it made the penny drop about that!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

greentiger Glad it makes you smile. Was always told it makes no difference what order it goes in as it all ends up in the same place.
Need to tell you all about a good source of protein with no syns. If you are hungry you will eat pretty much anything as I have done in training. Freely available in the garden just don't use any butter. One carries it house and the other is great at putting air in the soil. Both great with eggs and some salt and pepper. Although best to leave a couple of days with out food first to clean them out.
Was going to ask why you was doing a school run in the holidays but then saw you was in Scotland. Where are you? We had the pleasure of living in Benbecula in the Hebrides in the late 90's. Should have bought a 4 bed married quarter for 15K in 97. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made. May well go back to live when we retire. Just loved it up there. The drives of the island through the highlands were brilliant. So much beautiful countryside.
Off on the bike now aiming for 100 km today. May help at WI this evening. Have a good day everyone.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
Discussion about vegetables has been very useful. Thanks for bringing it up merlin. All the veg and pickles that I listed are Speed foods. To me, having non Speed veg or fruit is a missed opportunity for weightloss.
I went to WI this morning, just a quick weigh and go because we're off out soon.
1lb lost which I can take considering my fish & chips anniversary meal!:rotfl:
The next few weeks is going to be a struggle with a number of meals out that I'll find difficult to control. I'd like to get back to target range quickly (3lbs to go) but I can't see it happening. I'm going to keep plodding though and focus on more water and as many SP meals as I can.
I've had a SW breakfast (the box of Bran Flakes is now empty and in the bin!:j) but don't know about the rest of the day. Will report back later.:)0 -

Not sure if this is correct, but I was told that food with more sugar in are processed quicker than low sugar food... which is the reason we have sugar at the end of meals.... linked to indigestion. This could be c**p.... but hey ho!
Worms and snails are the best diet aid ever! as are raw onions... heart burn!
100 km on a bike..... :eek::eek::eek: I would struggle to do 1km!
Aubergine, chopped tomato and black pepper, baked in the over is rather lush and all speed.100 -
