:Twell done to bubbs, merlin and wiz on yesterday's losses. How did Hazel get on?

Hotel breakfasts can be very SW friendly merlin. I'd avoid sausages, black pudding and hash browns but other than a bit of oil you can pile up the bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and eggs for very few syns. Fruit or SW friendly cereal is often available to start. Bread's a bit iffy as it's generally just brown rather than wholemeal.

I've written down what I had yesterday that had syns in them (before I forget) but not estimated the values yet. My meal was good but the cheese, crackers and multiple gins were not.:o

Today we're off to a barbecue lunch. My friend is a great cook so there'll be a HM pudding and I'll have to try a little to be polite. I hope there's chicken and maybe lamb chops or something as sausages and burgers are difficult to estimate especially as they buy them form a local butcher.

SW try to make it sound so easy but eating out is definitely a problem IMO. I think I'm just going to have to take the hit and get back on it tomorrow until the next time.....

    Have a good day all.:)
Thanks maman, enjoy your food :T:T:T

Sadly I am hobbling like a 90 year old woman. OH brought me crutches yesterday, but I cannot use them as I hurt my right shoulder as well.

I do think I need to be able to move to be able to lose weight as I love my food too much x

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hopefully I will get mobile over the weekend, and back on gentle walking next week (I don't break into a sweat!.... lol).

Sorry you are not good, just caught up

    Please help!!!!
I have always gone to WW in the past and once was really successful, having lost around 6 /1/2 stone. The weight has steadily creeped back on and I need to lose 5 stone now! I did try going back to WW a couple of times and felt really disheartened as I didn't like the changes, its so much more complicated to calculate points and the website and support pages is so crap now. I've never done SW before. Ive read the start up thread, it doesn't seem too complicated? Im 5ft 8 and about 16 1/2 stone - do you think I should give it a go?
Any advice would be much appreciated

Do you want to give it a go?

Welcome to the slightly mad house. Do you like cucumbers.

On that thought, as I am parked on my bum for the next few days, my job list is

    1. book hotel for airport
    2. book airport parking
    3. order the hen do merchandise.... for my future daughter in law, so I have to try to be a lady... anyone called Jesus... as I need a flipping miracle!

:T Well done esmy . It's better than a loss. Hope you have a good week coming up.

Welcome cookie . We're biased because we're all SW converts here. I've never done anything else so I can't compare but, to me, it's a great framework for healthy eating. We all know which food groups are best for us and which should be limited to treats. That's what SW is about. The first posts on the thread give you the basics. The SW website or any of the magazines give a sample 7 day menu to get you started. Would you join a group? Just ask anything you want and we'll try to help. :)

Enjoy the birthday celebrations merlin and then get back on it after the weekend. I think the problems start when you know you've gone off plan so you just keep going. I think you're determined to succeed so you'll get back to it.

I enjoyed my meal today. It's really hard to estimate the syns. All I can be sure of is that I probably used most of a week's allowance in 2 days so back to it tomorrow. I've done my meal plan and should be OK for the next few days. Next hurdles are Wednesday and Thursday but no WI this week so I can work round it.

Hi, yes I would join a local group, I know that is the key to success. When i did get to goal at WW, I attended my local group every week for a year, never missed a single class. I will need to be more disciplined now though as I had worked from home for over 10 years and but last year I changed jobs and am now office based, can do some odd hours and my team never stop eating!!! lol
