Welcome to the slightly mad house. Do you like cucumbers.
Hi, yes, do i need to join the group on here too? I intend to join my local group on Weds too as long as I get home from my business trip on time......and yes, I do like cucumber!!! in fact I love all veg! (unfortunately I like chocolate too!):heart2: Cookiepops :heart2:0 -
You'll be fine cookie . I don't know about WW but with SW you can go to any group you like once you've joined so that may help with your work hours.
If I were you I'd start with a meal plan and shop for healthy ingredients. If you've got anything that's not SW friendly in then feed it to friends and family.0 -

I have always gone to WW in the past and once was really successful, having lost around 6 /1/2 stone. The weight has steadily creeped back on and I need to lose 5 stone now! I did try going back to WW a couple of times and felt really disheartened as I didn't like the changes, its so much more complicated to calculate points and the website and support pages is so crap now. I've never done SW before. Ive read the start up thread, it doesn't seem too complicated? Im 5ft 8 and about 16 1/2 stone - do you think I should give it a go?
Any advice would be much appreciated
Lisa xxx
Welcome and absolutely. yes, give it a go! I found that once I had my head around the 'rules' which really aren't complicated at all, it's a very easy and healthy way to eat. can accommodate individual tastes and family meals, and most importantly, it works!0 -
Morning. Had a hectic few days packing and doing drop offs for various holidays/hiking trips. All I need to do now is my own packing, give the house a good scrub and factor in a bit of time for some "fabbing" - you know the painted toenails and waxing legs etc.
Went for a flying visit to my class yesterday and managed a STS so pleased with that and will worry about any gain once I get home.
Take care everyone and I'll catch up with you all in early September xx0 -
Morning all,
It's 1 lb off for me this week. Pretty pleased with that especially as I was off plan in London and also had a job interview and all the stress that goes with that.
Food today is SW egg fried rice, not sure what to have for lunch. Will have plenty of speed and water this week and try for a bigger loss next week.Weight loss 2017/2018 - 49 lbs0 -

Hope you have a relaxing and regenerating holiday KATHRYN, you deserve a break.
SSM, look after yourself, hope those aches and pains disappear soon.
Wishing everyone a great weekend, some sunshine and SW friendly choices xWeight loss 2017/2018 - 49 lbs0 -

That's a novelty for a day's food!:rotfl:
:T Congratulations on your loss!
Have a good break midge. You can deal with the fall out when you get back.:)
Personally I'm an advocate for putting SW on the back burner on holiday (and I'm still dealing with the consequences:D) but, that being said I think most of us have the plan ingrained so will try to have plenty of Speed and make some good choices....alongside the bread and booze!:rotfl:
I'm pleased to be back on plan today. That's my weekend plan which is good food choices and alcoholic syns. Still sticking with the banana at the football and will do until I get back to target, probably by the end of the season if I'm lucky!;)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: Choice of JP, soup or salad depending whether we eat in town or notLidl BBQ beef (less than 1 syn), patatas bravas, mushrooms and green stuff (mange tout, sugar snaps and broccoli)
Syns: gin:D0 -
Hi everyone & hello cookiepops....resident scarlet pimpernel here!
At WI today I lost 1 lb - pleased with that but obviously would have liked more.
I managed to go swimming twice this week so pleased with that though my water intake still isn't where it has been.
My targets for the week is to actually use my gym membership - I'm with the local LA & I upgraded my swimming only package to include the gym but haven't used it yet so that my target - to go twice & swimming once whilst upping my water intake.
I now officially set my target as well - will hit it at a 5 stone loss. I did think about setting it at a 5.5 stone loss but not sure now so if I change my mind I can always lower it.
Not sure what's on the menu today - will try & have a flash of inspiration later!0
