I've had a great day. It's our wedding anniversary and the sun was shining so we went to the seaside! I had a SW breakfast before we went (beans on toast) then just a coffee at lunchtime (DH had cake). Later we had fish & chips. Well it's the law at the seaside isn't it? :rotfl:
I was very SW conscious and took (I think IIRC) kathryna's advice and only ate some batter from the top.
Then I had a few gins to celebrate before we caught the train home.
So, no Speed . The only veg was beans and mushy peas. I'm calling it a synful Green day.

I had a NSV. I wore the same skirt today I had on last Monday. Last week it was uncomfortable around the waist, today it felt loose. Well it did before the fish and chips! :D

Back on plan 100% tomorrow. Hope we all have a good week coming up. We can do this!! :A

Happy wedding anniversary Maman and Mr Maman.

Yes the batter suggestion came from my SW consultant. Glad it helped you.

    And :j:j:j:j on the NSV

    Morning all

I have weighed in this morning and have lost 2lb this week I'm pleased with this as I now feel totally back on track.

I have also just made some seaweed kale (that's what I call it anyway) :o. It the best and I will definitely be making more of it.

    Well done to everyone

  • Hello all,

It's a 1/2 lb loss for me this week. I hoped it might have been more but I have just had a couple of days off plan in London. I tried to stay on plan but went off slightly, but I think walking more than 30000 steps each day helped minimise the damage!

Sorry to hear things have been so rough KATHRYN, I'm glad your hospital trip has made things a little better with sleep and pain relief.

Great to see you back SHALA, hope your dad is okay.

Some amazing losses, ALLEYCAT, your original loss was incredible, I'm sure you will succeed at losing 3 stone this time round.

ABBAFAN, I've just spotted your signature, what an amazing loss, very inspirational.

Sounds like you have a lovely anniversary MAMAN. I love getting away to the seaside, it always seems to refresh and energise me.

SSM I'm going to have to try cucumbers. You've convinced me!

Good luck all, we can do it x

    Hi all
Carrot cake overnight oats sounds lush!
    What is this please?

It's just another version of overnight oats - I used my heb of oats, yogurt, half a grated carrot, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and mix. You can add other stuff to it too - I added a bit of apple, but pineapple would be nice and nuts/raisins (syns of course :( or swap out some of your heb of oats for them).

Happy Anniversary maman (and Mr Maman) sounds like you had a lovely day, glad you had the weather for it!

    My menu for today,
B - cake carrot oats (heb)
L - eggy pancake wrap (3 syns), salad, chicken, mayo (1) lots of beetroot
T - spicy chicken skewers, bulghur wheat, big salad
    S - crisps (3) strawberries, coconut hifi (3)

Tried to get a fair amount of speed in today as it was sadly lacking a bit over the weekend.. hopefully it'll pay off!

    Yes, that's great. Well done!:T

What's seaweed kale please? Is it like crispy seaweed?:)

Thanks for the good wishes. We had a great time. I've checked with syns online and fish & chips really isn't as bad as I expected. They say 14.5 for 220g (about half a pound) of chips and the same, 14.5, for a medium cod in batter. Our portions were advertised as small (I'd seen what they were serving before I ordered) but that's all relative to the chip shop and they didn't look small to me! I'm allowing 30 for the meal. So 2 days syns for a fish supper isn't bad.:D

100% back on plan today. My jeans feel tight which always happens after my synful weekends. A bit of dancing Body Magic tonight should sort me out.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, HEB toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO casserole (bacon, butter beans, peas and a load of Speed veg) so a SP lunch
D: baked salmon, new potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, runner beans
    Syns: none planned

    Hi maman
The way I made it was:
    • Spray a flat baking tray with fry light
    • add the kale
    • Spray lightly with frylight
    • Add salt
    • Pepper
    • A small shake of sweetener

Bake in the oven for approx 3 - 5 minutes on 150c. Dependant on your oven

It cooks very quickly so you have to watch as it burns quickly too
