they don't let you return for 6 months after you cancel
maybe better to phone them and say you will go into another 12 month contract if they give you some free months
Best of luck but I called twice last week a few days apart and asked what they could offer if I resigned for another 12 months as I was out of contract. They offered a discount of £2.50 a month which they took great glee in telling me that would make my b/band costs only £5 a month but ignoring the fact that as an O2 mobile customer £5 of the discount was my own doing!
I pointed out the Broadband Choices offer and the current £70 cashback for new O2 customers through Quidco AND also their sister company Bethere* was also offering £70 cashback but to no avail.
They would not budge and said do I want my MAC or not!0 -
Trying to sign up through Quidco....but it is a long drawn out process!!!
Every time I input my bank details for the direct debit..it tells me that I have inputted the wrong details!!! I've tried various times and with two different bank accounts, with no joy. It allows you 3 attempts and then kicks you off
Any ideas?
I don't want to phone them and order..as it is £70 cashback through Quidco, now. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
Looking for broadband deal for a friend. I'm interested in the "four months free. Until 30th June, you can get 4 months free when you sign up to this package via comparison site Broadband choices"
However when I go onto BroadbandChoices it says the offer ends BEFORE midnight on Tuesday the 30th of June 2009. I think that's a bit ambiguous. Does that mean the midnight just passed or midnight tonight (which I would have thought was 1st July)...?!0 -

Found my answer:
Is there a start or end date to this promotion?
Yes – you must sign up for the O2 Home Broadband Standard package on the O2 website, confirming accepting their Terms and Conditions, between 12:01 on Tuesday the 16th of June 2009 and 23:59pm on Tuesday the 30th of June 2009.0 -
You should use a different router with o2 and a few other ISPs who use it.

I don't know too much about the security issues, but you should use a different router because the O2 one just isn't as good.
I use a Linksys WRT54G as my main router with the O2 box reconfigured to act solely as a modem/bridge. Then flash the Linksys with DD-WRT (freeware) and hey presto, you've spent £40 on a router with the abilities of one costing £100-150.
(as an aside, you will find that O2 won't support this set up, so only do it if you know what you're doing and wouldn't mind them resetting it back to 'normal' for you if you need any support)Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

i'm now out of my 12 month o2 premium broadband contract, and I am paying £10/month for it.
Is there any point in calling cancellations or anything in hope of getting some months free or discounts, or don't they do that?0 -

Are you unhappy about the paying of £10 per month for the service you receive?0 -
I signed up for 02 broadband & phone through the Simplify Digital comparison site linked to these pages. They were recommended as having the best reputation for customer service, & the rep at SD confirmed everything correctly to me by e-mail.
When the letter arrived from 02 a few days ago it confirmed the order of just the Broadband, no phone, & customer service at O2 have not been willing to accept that it's wrong. They tell me I now have to wait till the Broadband's live to be able to request the phone to be ported too! I definitely told them I wanted both at the same time when I was put through to them.
Have told the customer service rep at S. D. & they're trying to get it sorted, but I'm left wondering if I should cancel before change over day. Has anyone got any comments? What's your experience of them?0 -

no experience of Simplify Digital but O2 are usually pretty good. My guess is that you're best off just accepting this is someone's !!!! up and wait until O2 can port your phone. Cancelling seems like cutting your nose to spite your face.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world
