O2 Broadband (merged)
Comments

I rang up tiscali to get my MAC so that i could get the £12.50 O2 broadband today.
With tiscali i am on 1mb for 12.99 a month, when i rang them they offered me 8mg, wireless, no contract for £9.99 if i stayed with them.
I was set to go to O2 but now i am hesitant.
O2 has some good reputation and tiscali is dismal + its up for sale.0 -
Move to o2, you won't regret it. The service they provide is leagues above that of Tiscali, the connection is really fast (I'm on about 11mb for a 8mb contract!), customer service is friendly, helpful and faultless and above all the price is right.
Ditch Tiscali!0 -

I'll second that.
I was with F2S,and once I learned that Tosscali had took them over,I ditched them,as I was with Tosscali before that, and suffered at the hands of their dismal service.

I have signed up for the madasafish (bought by BT late last year) line rental. It is going to take 2 more days to get the new line. Can I sign up for o2 or is it that madasafish is non BT and O2 will not take it up?0

Is anyone here on O2 Access (provided through the BT wholesale exchange ie. NOT unbundled) and can tell me if it's any good?0

I have O2 broadband, I personally work in the IT field (networks and the internet) and have very specific requirements for line quality when I look for ISP's. O2 is at the minute one of the best in terms of performance and has an unbeatable value!
I'm just hoping they don't grow to the point where their service starts to suffer which is where 90% of all ISPs go wrong! Most isp's that started out being amazing, got a very large customer base very quickly and then annoyed them by raising contention ratios. (the ratio of number of people sharing the same line from your local exchange)0 -
Is it essential to have a BT line to sign up to O2? We don't have a landline in our house, and the current broadband connection was installed by Telewest. I've read on this thread O2 service is pretty good, plus I have a PAYG mobile which would make it even cheaper.
Anyone know what my options are?0
