    PN, re: the sofa:

Get an artist friend to paint a monochrome picture of Rees-Mogg reclining of it before putting it out in front of your house.

Somebody will immediately nick it thinking it's a new Banksy.

I'm going to be a bit busy today. Back on later/tea-time.

Re sofa: I've deleted some comments.... I did get somebody to haul it away for £30 on Saturday.

I'm glad you got shot of it PN - just such a shame you had to pay to get rid!

    Didn’t have any problems.

The point Michael is making is that Helium is tremendously useful. I have had loads of scans recently that absolutely rely on Helium, for example.

The Helium we have comes from radioactive decay over billions of years, and once it's gone we won't have any more. Releasing Helium into the atmosphere means it's effectively gone for good, as it escapes into space.

There are predictions we will run out of Helium in a decade. See here for example https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/helium-supply-world-shortage-run-out-recycle-mri-scanners-deep-sea-diving-balloons-a8741081.html
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    That went quite well....

10.30 all cleared/cleaned and away. Running a bit later than planned.
11.00 offloading stuff/anything at storage as should already be at hotel.
    11.15 at hotel.
11.30 phone call to say completed

PC wouldn't connect to wifi, so I went for a walk, bought a rubbish pasty from a bakery, wandered round Iceland and M&S Food, then returned to watch telly. Nodded off.

6am this morning, realised No 1 priority had to be to get the PC online, so I devised a plan involving a Toby Carvery All you can Eat breakfast - as I've not been eating properly for two weeks and hardly at all for 3 days, so I was losing my jeans as I walked.... and, it turns out, in my haste I'd lobbed the wrong clothes into storage and in my room I just had a box of "clothes I'll hang onto but don't really wear"...

So off I went in mismatched/ill-fitting clothes and had a scoff-a-thon at Toby. The Toby was close to where I used to live as I knew of "a little man" over there that I could take the PC to. The "little man" is a small firm in the top of a commercial unit that has 4-5 employees and is wall to wall "everything you could possibly want/need for a PC". He plugged it in - and it turned out that the wifi USB I had needed to be "inserted HARD into the socket" - so he left it in there and said he'd had to give it an extra shove to get a connection. As you can see, it works :)

Another wrong bag I'd lobbed into storage contained toothpaste, shower gel, so I popped into £land and grabbed shower gel, toothpaste, hand cleaner and shampoo.

So I am now well fed, badly dressed and not hungry :)

    That'll do for today.

So glad to hear you are getting sorted out PN! :j

I'm thinking of your house search and hoping you find a great place soon. Vibes vibes. ;)

Wish we could offer you a space in our home, but it'd drive you crazy as it's such a messy mess, plus it's in Liverpool which is too far away from you home searching.

But should you change your mind and decide to house hunt in Liverpool we'd make an effort to tidy up as best we can. :rotfl:

Sending you all best wishes and hopes for luck with your ongoing search from Bwlchtocyn. :)

I received a parking ticket today (or at least a charge masquerading as a ticket) from Watford Waterfields. I've often used it to avoid paying for Kings or Queens at intu. Now it has a 2 hour limit, I'm sure this is new!

SC, there are other subforums covering these and I've had several pseudo-tickets cancelled after challenging.

These always have to be fought against, but can often be put back in their box by a correctly worded letter/email.

Please don't pay anything until you've read all the relevant advice there; they've been invaluable for me.:)

My appeal is in! Just surprised I haven't been caught before if this has been going a long time.
