I always had towels to match the bathroom, but since getting a whole new bathroom nearly three years ago they no longer match as I'm too mse now to buy new ones when the others still do the job.

Is the world mad or am I?

I've been up most of the night, there was a helluva storm going on. Gusting winds at 60mph, driving rain. All through the night.

It's mostly passed now; "just" gusting at 45-50mph :)

I hate the wind - and hate the fact that most severe storms seem to occur overnight, in the dark, when you can't peek out the windows to see what's going on out there!

    It's a whole new world :)

Towels that match bathrooms. I'm still using some I bought 20 years ago. I aspire to a bathroom I like.... towels that matched would be too much to ask for :)

When I buy new towels I buy to match the current bathroom, but I’m too mean to throw out old towels until they are past their best. Consequently I was able to find the towels from our first flat. That matches the hideous brown suite and use them in our current beige bathroom.

Today’s plan is to meet DS2 & fianc!e at the airport armed with helium balloons. Back here where I have banners and various other engagement nick nacks. Then a family dinner tonight to welcome the Jewish New Year!

Happy New Year to anyone celebrating.

Hope it goes well at the airport, SC!

When I was little, we occasionally went to London Airport for an outing. It was incredibly modern. Things like hot air hand dryers in the loos, that sort of thing. Gosh, we were easily impressed!

And we would go outside onto a waving platform, where you could see your friends/relis board their plane. That closed because of terrorism risks, an awfully long time ago.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I still buy a few that match...I have to admit, I still have towels that are 30 years old!

Pastures, if you are able to, could you contact your buyers and ask if they would like the sofa to be left in the house? Just a thought. It would save you worrying about it and might be useful to them.
