  • No idea. The plan is to find somewhere to buy. So, by then I either do, or don't have somewhere in mind. Then I'll make the next bit of the plan.

The goal is to buy somewhere/move in, but until one presents itself I just have to fly by the seat of my pants and hope something crops up soon :)

You are definitely braver than me... I like everything organised!
    I crashed out. I should've been packing/sorting, sealing/piling. But I completely crashed out!

That wasn't expected, but I have been out/about and back a lot today, so "exhausted" mentally from making sure I was in the right places at the right times.

No wonder you have crashed.... you must be k******.

Go to bed, and sleep x

Bo-Jo should go-go maybe. Like most NP I'm just tired of it all now.

Main priority here at the moment is making sure my dad who died last week has a good send off.

Hope all your moving shenanigans are progressing well
    Pastures.

That's sad. I'm ever so sorry.

I hope the send off is wonderful. It will be. Funerals have a habit of being the most bittersweet of days, sharing memories and love with old friends. :o

Pastures I'm glad your slippers have turned up, just as autumn's arriving!

A couple of days ago we needed the potato masher and couldn't find it. It wasn't in the drawer where it should have been. Yesterday I spotted it somewhere I'd already looked and it definitely hadn't been there then (hums X-Files theme music:D)

Jazee thinking of you and hoping everything proves easy to arrange.

" Microwave/toaster/kettle - will take to the tip"

Can't those fit into the storage? Surely, that's just what you'll need when you buy a new place?

    From 5 April:

Just found them. Where I'd put them, but I was about 2' out. They turned up close to the rear of the understairs cupboard, when I'd assumed they'd have been popped into the front 2' or so

    :)

    Was your screwdriver there too?
    I think....

All three are 7 years old. They were the cheapest at the time and were on their last legs when I put the house up for sale. Even a year ago they were ready for binning.... the microwave base is getting "bobbly", the toaster doesn't pop up and one part of the slider's broken and the kettle's discoloured and quite grim now. Total cost of the three when new was £35.

I hope you find something nice when you move into your new home.

We seem to go through microwaves quite fast. Our kettle is not inspiring confidence. But our toaster is coming up to 20 years. We were going through toasters at the rate of one a year, so on the spur of the moment I bought an industrial one, and that has withstood maltreatment.

My microwave was 4th hand when we got it over 21 years ago, youngest offered to replace it earlier this year and I chose one but as I was on my own there was little point as I wouldn't have been able to set it up anyway (lifting and carrying from door to kitchen, lifting out of box onto worktop etc).

He's just treated himself to a Surface Pro so don't think he offering for a wee while now, not through lack of pennies (he worked all through the summer plus did some custom PC builds for others) but because he hates spending money! I'm not fussed, I rarely use the microwave anyway (probably why it has lasted so long).
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The guy who was supposed to buy MIL's bungalow did not complete the purchase. So, DW and her brother are more or less back to square one.

The solicitor said this is the first time it's happened in 30 years of conveyancing. The estate agent said it's his third, in 35 years.

Had they exchanged? If so the guy could be liable for a lot of costs.
