DW and I visited a couple of OpenhouseLondon properties. Very MSE.
We were going to walk around the City as it was a car free day, but the weather put paid to that idea.
After feeling overdressed in Saturday's heat, I wasn't dressed for the downpour.
Still, as I grew up in a place where they famously say you only know it's the summer when because the rain gets lovely and warm, I had the foresight to carry a poundland umbrella which often turns out to be worth a lot more than pound.:beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Spent the weekend at a north London festival of ideas. I don't have any stake in it, but I wondered if some other NPs would have enjoyed it. There's two venues, the other's in Wales. Science, politics, music, comedy.
First festival I've every been to. I realised I belonged to the generations that was always too young then latterly, too old to go to festivals.
On another point, being this old does mean I can remember the last time the coffee companies tried to first coffee bags on us, which I see they're trying to do again.

No chance of any of you walking past me or even being in the vicinity, I was at work all day!
We didn't get the rain until later in the afternoon which gave me a bit of an issue as I had not taken a jacket with me, luckily at the time I had to leave the building, there was a 5 minute break in the rain and I stayed dry.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I am surprised to see the old DVLA premium rate 0870 number still being circulated.Vehicle Registration Complete the relevant section on the reverse side or at the bottom of your registration document and send it in, or ring 0870 240 0010. Failure to notify DVLA could result in a fine of £1000.
DVLA changed to using 03 numbers in 2009 - a decade ago.
The 0870 number has been out of use for the last ten years.
Driver Enquiries changed from 0870 240 0009 to 0300 790 6801.
Vehicle Enquiries changed from 0870 240 0010 to 0300 790 6802.0 -
On the subject of flooding, the Environment Agency's Floodline changed from a premium rate 0845 number to the inclusive 0345 988 1188 number on 3 February 2014.0
