We used Bevalued until recently, but found the levels of customer service shocking. We now use an alternative supplier who provides us with a quality of service. I think Bevalued do not value customers, only themselves. Look at a business called The Replacement Service Ltd in Worcester they are brilliant and do all they can to help and value our custom.0

wow so many up happy people with Powerplay Direct/BeValued or in most workers terms DeValued.
I currently work for PowerPlay Direct but will not be by the end of the month as they closing 1 of there offices to move it to somewhere cheaper(near liverpool).
we have records as far back as 1970 from T.Vs to Washing Machines.
i'm horrerfied at what i've read here.
i've spent along time helping build a System that uses Product information to make Like for Like.
Televisions are set on 3 area's Direct Replacement/ Cheapest Replacement/ Brand Replacement and i'll tell you this almost 3/4 of insurers use the Cheapest replacement.
The Direct Replacement is set by a Validation team who checks the spec of current models and old models to find the best replacement or the excat match but nothing below that.
the Cheapest is as it says the cheapest for the companys to pay for it.
I'll use T.V as an Example,
each brand is set a Number.
LG is a 3 and Sony is a 5.
Philips is a 3 and Samsung is a 4.
if you reported an LG which is a 3, the Direct Replacement will be an LG or something in that number zone or moves upto a 4 like Smasung.
as someone Said.
underpaid over worked and just brushed asided when your not needed.0 -
We conducted a detailed validation exercise across several companies. We specified our rules to each business practice and gave them clear guidelines. In addition, we took on board the quality of service, cost and innovation factors before deciding/switching to The Replacement Service Ltd. They continue to offer us a transparent and impartial service - highly recommended.0

As you will see from my profile I am not normally one for posting on forums however in this case I felt moved to comment on this occasion.
Having recently been unfortunate enough to have to claim on our home insurance due to a power surge caused by an electrical storm we were referred by our insurance company to BeValued. Obviously, given some of the posts in this thread, I was a little apprehensive about dealing with BeValued.
Contrary to my fears I was delighted at the manner in which our claim was handled. The process ran smoothly (although with no previous experience I was unsure what smoothly would constitute).
After our initial conversation we agreed that engineers would be sent to asses whether items could be repaired and that our laptop would be inspected by their engineers at BeValued.
BeValued proceeded to repair our laptop, something my husband was delighted with due to us storing all of our family photos and music on the hard drive. We were told the other items would need replacing. BeValued offered us our replacements, which we were happy to accept or also the chance to upgrade if we wanted to.
I hope that if anyone is unfortunate enough to have to claim on their insurance that this give you an idea of the process we went through and alleviates any concerns and I, for one, would have absolutely no concerns with dealing with BeValued in the future.0 -
Does anybody have a phone number for these guys?
I had my screen replaced by them but now the lid of my laptop is so loose it'll sway open by an inch when shut!!0 -
It's a common HP / Compaq problem.
If you have any problems try contacting compaq directly as they may sort it out direct0 -
This thread has me a little worried now!
My insurance provider is Saga, i dropped my 17" Apple MacBook Pro. Today it has been picked up by DPD and is being sent to powerplay, bit of googling lead me to this thread.
There is no way they're giving me any other laptop than an apple. Also, don't you think i should receive a 17" macbook pro? As that's matching the specs, by having the same size screen. It is not my fault if the only 17" macbook pro apple currently sell is faster! ???? I really don't want to get a smaller screen
Anyway, next wednesday powerplay are supposed to ring me with their verdict
P.S. Apple removed my hard drive for me, no way i was sending that off and now after reading this i am really really REALLY glad i didnt! :eek:0 -
