  • wow candy they really are stunning, i'd paty more than 10 euro's definatly(sp?)
i'd prolly go with 15 euro
(hope u don't mind but i've saved ur pic in my hampers pics so i can copy it hehe they're gorgeous, and glad u had a great shopping trip lol sounds like u were in heaven
Thank you. I had great fun. I am still buzzing from it today :D Apart from when this spanish lady picked up AND KEPT the only blue bath hoody towel. Why couldn't she of had a pink one, there were hundreds of them!
No problem, sorry they are a bit dark, couldnt figure out how to brighten them up on the computer.
I just worry that nobody will want to buy them if I charge too much.
Mind you I think you could be right, the prices of baby things here are unreal, so unless they have a shopping trip to Primark too, they ARE getting a bargin. :rotfl:

  • Hmmm, not sure what happened to my post so I will try again

On my shopping trip to Ikea :D I picked up some dinner sets, in pink, blue and red.
1 bib, 1 cup, 1 dish and a spoon, at the bargin price of 2 euro's.
I thought the red one would look great with my bargin buy red blanket.
Now, I am not sure how to put it together, do you think it looks really daft.
Should I scrap the idea? I dont want the locals to think 'crazy english', then again, they will probably think that when they realise they are nappies :rotfl:

  • I think that is really good idea Candy it is different to all the others and you will probably get people thinking "crazy" but I get those looks too when people realise what nappy cakes are. Its always met with astonishment - just enjoy it :D:D:D:D:D

    Hi all..

Right have some size 2 huggies.. Some blue ribbon, some blue roses (which i`m going to use ontop of some of the nappies), a blue elephant holding a `it`s a boy` balloon .. I just hope it bloomin is after all this effort !.. hehe !!

Also picked up some blue tigger and pooh rompers from woolies for £1.50 and some bibs in sainsburys for 45p !

    To get list..

.. I just need a blue blanket, am going to raid primark tomorrow as advised by some of you, any other suggestions of where to go?! also a cake board (any cheap and cheerful suggestion?) some bamboo, double sided tape and elastic bands.. then hopefully i`m all set to go !! Oh and some sellophane (have a HUGE roll of pink spotty sellophane but I need either blue of clear!!

Does that sound like everything to get me started?

I have got a folder of about 30 different designs which I`ve found by googling, so lots of ideas !!

    Liz_uk,

Do you have a Dunelm near you? They have baby fleece blankets for £1.99! They're lovely, do them in pale green, pale blue, pink, lemon and cream. The blue ones have some cars embroidered on the corner. Fab value!

CandyB101 the cakes are great, sounds like you know where to go for the bargains now! Good luck.
