Thanks crystalclear,
I thought I was going to have a problem with the card at first and was thinking of taking toys off, but it worked out fine. I put red ribbon on both at first but for some reason the orange looks better on the girl. Don't know why when they are both same colour boxes - strange!!!
I think the orange compliments her dress really well and thats why it looks so nice. The red looks fab with the boy elephant:T:T:T:T:TLittle Miss Chatterbox

By the way seen lots of cakes with dummys and covers advertised in them, any ideas on where you would get these from? I can only seem to find your bog standard dummies!
I put dummies in mine as it's for a friend and I wanted to pack it out! :rotfl:I got orthodontic tommee tippee dummies 0-6months in Tesco. they were £2.29 and they come with covers.
On another note, everyone, how do you secure everything? I used double sided tape but it really doesn't seem to be sticking. I really am thinking this is something I could enjoy doing and make a bit of pocket money on selling occasionally but I'm worried about keeping everything secure enough to stay in one piece!
Thanks

Thanks for the tips guys, really liking the idea of putting a blanket over the top. How do you attach it?
Do you wrap it around the nappies and then tuck it in in-between the layers of nappies? (does that make sense?)Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
I don't put anything on the top of mine however have seen some with muslin on them. This looks as though it's been placed over the cake then tucked in at the edges before the outer blankets or muslins are wrapped around it.0

Here is the one I did for my SIL with my neice (we didnt know sex of baby, hence the yellow).
I liked it, but want to do a mini one for my neighbour so am thinking of covering this one in a blanket or somthing.
Anyone got any tips where to get cheap stuff?Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
I wrapped mine in a blanket I bought in Primark. It was £3. Tesco and Asda do quite cheap. I don't know about Home Bargains, the closest one to me is 66miles away!
