Hi guys - yes i made it for a friend who is pregnant. She was over the moon with it. I'm not sure that it would be good enough to sell - what do you guys think? Next time I would probably put a muslin or something around the sleepsuits and bodysuits to give a neater 'cake' finish.
Also - it cost me £40 to make including all the bits and pieces - not sure I'd make much selling them lol!
You just need to shop in the right places i.e home bargains, asda etc. You can pick up lovely items there reasonable and very good quality. The more you make you'll probably find you will change things and that way cut the costs down. The first cake is always the most expensive because you are not sure what to put in it etc and what works. Welcome to the addiction though xx:rotfl:Little Miss Chatterbox

I haven't had the need to advertise yet i've been really lucky through word of mouth. I did the stall just to gauge reaction and get feedback really and fortunately I made up some cards and all these were taken. Two people I know have shops and they want me to put them in there so I will do that first and then decide whether to set up online or not. I've got two orders today to do as a result of the stall it was really worthwhile doing.
One of friends works in a local card shop and they have recently been displaying nappy cakes made by a lady who lives a few miles away but she told me they have only sold one and they have had to drop the price now.Little Miss Chatterbox

My friend is due in october and I want to do a really special one for her. I have kept it quiet from her that I'm doing nappy cakes now so it will be a complete surprise! I'm really looking forward to seeing her face when I give it to her!
My best friend is due in Feb which is ages away. It's going to kill me keeping this a secret, I can't even post the pics on facebook or she'll see  She know's I'm on a money saving mission as I gave her home made jam for her birthday :rotfl:
I popped into Budgens this morning on the way to drop DS off at MIL's and they have a notice board. I asked how much to post on there and was told it was free so I might try and make a couple, post up pics and see if I get any local takers. :T
