On the 3 tier and 2 tier I fold the blankets along their shortest width and then fold again about three times until the blanket is about the height of the nappies, I then use safety pins to hold the blanket together and pull the blanket over the nappies. Does that make sense it is so difficult to put in words.;)
On the cupcakes the burping cloths are generally the height of the nappies anyway.

Not quite so neat from the back view but next time I'll buy fabric glue and maybe drape bibs or muslins the whole way down like I have on the top layer (had to do that as i ran out of ribbon and it wouldnt meet around the back!)
Its turned out much nicer than I expected though, especially when all wrapped up. Took it round to my friends last night (couldn't wait!) and she absolutely loved it! Cant wait to make another one now!?
I have a cousin who's pregnant but she lives far away - do any of you pros post your cakes - if so how?!

Hi guys - yes i made it for a friend who is pregnant. She was over the moon with it. I'm not sure that it would be good enough to sell - what do you guys think? Next time I would probably put a muslin or something around the sleepsuits and bodysuits to give a neater 'cake' finish.
Also - it cost me £40 to make including all the bits and pieces - not sure I'd make much selling them lol!
