Moonpenny, i think it'll be fine - am sure the stitches will pull out and be completely unnoticable
I had the same trouble with my towel - although i just wrapped the ribbon round and hoped for the best :rotfl:0 -
I have never heard of these before and wish I had found this thread a few months ago as my friend had her first ababy in June and I would have totally tried to make one of these for her!
Will keep it in mind for when I know someone else is having a wee one.
By the way I love all the pics posted, so lovely!0 -
Yeah! It wouldn't overlap at all so I brought edges together and did a few cross stitches so it would pull out easy
Does anyone know where to buy the tall boxes you would need to post a 3 tier cake? (Not sold any yet, just thinking ahead. LOL)
Woud you get about 2 ft high and twist top of cellophane over? And what to pack it with so it wouldn't move, bubble wrap I suppose?0 -
Hi lizziebell*80
It won't be long before you are totally addicted. I'm very new at this and I've only made a couple, but I can't stop going shopping looking for supplies.0 -
Lizzybell - how about making one for your friends baby's first birthday? You can make it using bigger nappies and include goodies such as pyjamas, small books, and toiletries like powder which your friend will probably still be using0

Hi Moonpenny,
My mum has a shop and uses a courier so she said she would send any via the courier for me. I took one to her at the weekend which she has packed and is sending back to me so we can test what it arrives like! Should get it tomorrow so I'll let you know how succesful or unsuccesful it was!

.
Thats a really good idea Becs because thats what is worrying me about sending in the post cos they are fragile after all. Please let us know.
Moonpenny - i would use packing peanuts in the box or possibly air cushions to protect it and on the box buy the large reels of "fragile" and "this way up" sticky tape and stick that to the box. You can buy the boxes on ebay just make sure measurements are right.Little Miss Chatterbox

mum has packed it in a double walled cardboard box so won't get broken and filled with those polysterene worms. She said that fragile stickers and this way up wouldn't make any difference as couriers use that as a red rag to a bull and go all out to turn it upside down and throw it from one side of the van to the other!
I'm hoping that wouldn't be the case but see her point! so and so's aren't they!
I'll let you know how it arrives tomorrow. Hopefully not in bits!
