    Hi everyone!

Great cakes again – especially the “first attemped” ones. I always think things look easy till you have a bash. LOL!

Vinaka, Great idea about carrying a cake around town. Mind you, my cakes are quite heavy so I think my arm would be dropping off before too long.
When you take them to work, do you cover them? I have been popping mine into a big white bin liner (usually a charity one) but maybe I should leave them open to “comments”.

I was supposed to be doing my last minute Christmas shopping today but have ended up buying MORE STUFF!!!! for cakes. I keep seeing bargains and can’t stop myself!

Shelley – your cake is soooo sweet.. Love pink and cream and especially gingham ribbon. I was desparate for some ribbon today and went into town and NOBODY sells it. I usually buy from local market but wasn’t on today. I need to order online but I like to use lots of different colours etc and can’t make my mind up.

    That’s me rambling on now!
  • uptomyeyes1984 - I just love that TY elephant ..... please don't say you got it in HB !!!! My local one has never got any of these toys in.

Shelley3774 - Love your cake, it's so pretty with the gingham . How on earth do you tie your bows so neatly, mine just never look straight.

I've been quite busy this week, have made a 3 tier pink, a 3 tier blue, and a 1 tier xmas cake. Only trouble is, they are for friends ...... so I'm out of pocket there. Another friend should hopefully have her baby by the weekend too. I'll be skint at this rate!!! Oh well, it's advertising I suppose.

At least I have 1 order for a baby due in 3 weeks :D

I know the feeling, I can no longer walk into any shop without taking a look at baby stuff, makes it worse with these sales on too!
Think I am gonna have to take up window shopping, and leave the purse at home.

for my 3 tier cakes I use a box 12x12x18 inches, I use air pockets and packaging peanuts (only the air packets normally but peanuts as and when I get them) and I send them via parcel2go as they work out cheaper than royal mail or any of the other couriers.

I bulk bought my boxes from defandapak - http://www.defendapack.co.uk/
