Thanks everyone! The minis are about 5 inch and then toy on top makes them 9-10 inch. Iused Pampers and Boots own make nappies (they are a bit taller)
From comments recieved, it seems my cakes are big but I didn't realize this - I am back to using Pampers nappies but they still end up tall with the toys. Oh well!!! You should see one I have just made - it has a "taller" giraffe on top. LOL Will post when I get round to it.0 -
Better pic of Minis! Do they still look tall? They measure 9 inch to top of toy.0

Could it be that the teddies that you are using are smaller? making the nappies appear to look larger?
Whatever it is you are doing, they look fab :TA creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
CandyB - I think you have hit the nail on the head! I've used smaller toys on all my minis. (I think most people use the same size as on the bigger cakes)
I am using the same Burp cloths as everyone else and have even turned under half an inch on bottom.0 -
Hi Moonpenny your cakes are scrumptious as always and like Rusty said if I have another baby (which funny enough has been talked about a lot recently !!!!! ) you can make me one
I think you are right about the smaller toys they do make the cake look bigger.

Hi Shelley - Good Luck with any "new packages"but I think making a cake for you would be like sending "coal to Newcastle" if you know what I mean!
I am going to re-think my minis over Christmas and try and come up with another design. (They were the first ones I did and have just been making 3 Tiers) I also need to make some more 2 Tiers.
Bet your glad you have finished your xmas orders. Easter babies next! LOL!0 -
Thanks Moonpenny but I think I may need a little more convincing. Hubby would love another but not sure if 3 would be a nightmare!!!!
Will have to decide within next year as i'm not getting any younger lol x
I look forward to seeing your new designs
Yes I'm really glad to finish all my cakes for Xmas because I was getting a bit snowed under with everything. I'm working 8 hr morning shifts all weekend (have to be up by 430 am yuck) and then nights on Tues so I'm struggling to get everything done. I've also made 2 hampers for friends this week and I had to go shopping this afternoon after work ( ) to get all the bits to make a hamper for my boss for Christmas so have to make that tomorrow.
Plus I've been making pots of gold and snowman soup all week for other people.
Sorry I was having a bit of a ramble then -I'm so tired need to go to bed ready for work tomorrow xxx
Oh and forgot to add hubby is 12 hrs nights from tomorrow up until Xmas Eve so its going to be a nightmare - kids home, work and trying to get everything ready for Christmas xx ARRGGGG xxxLittle Miss Chatterbox
