Well i had a great fair on the weekend only thing that did get to me and that was the other girl that's also ding nappy cakes. Her stuff and stall is getting more and more like mine every time she comes so much so this time some of the other stall holders thought it was my stall:rolleyes: . She is now doing towel cakes like mine. I did have to ask her not to bring one thing next time as it was so like mine and that was my Daddy's nappy duty belt 3 other stall holders and myself knew she would do it as so many of her family kept looking at mine she was ok about it and i didn't like having to ask her not to bring it any more but i think something had to be said

thanks julie! and thanks for the jar advice. i got the jars u use and i must say they are really lovely but mine are nowhere near as nice as yours! i am quite lucky in a way becasue nappy cake fever hasnt relaly hit northern ireland yet so there arent that many that i know of doing them and only two official companies with me being one of them. i have been updateing my website a good bit but still not got the shop going as need to take really good pictures of all my cakes.

    Hi rjh090384

Your cakes look fab! I rally like the yellow and white ones (with ducks) and your Christmas ones look really festive.

I noticed that you have used the clothes I have just bought to use for next yr. Wanted to wait for the sales but thought the sizes I wanted would be gone, so had to bite the bullet and pay full price.
  • You know me I always like to use white nappies so I had an order this week for a Xmas cake for a 9 month old and I thought I would have a problem getting plain white nappies. I managed to find the Asda Eco nappies in size 4 and they were lovely. I don't normally use the supermarket brands (although I did on my boys little peaches and they were fine) because I know people can be fussy about that kind of thing but I must say the Asda Eco are great. They were quite expensive but I think I can justify it !!!!!
I will definitely use these for the larger size cakes in future.

Can't believe I am tapping away at 3 am in the morning - too much going round my head!

Shelley - Good tip about the nappies for older children, will keep them in mind. I have gone back to rolling my nappies. They look nice when swirled but you have to put almost everything on the outside and I prefer it a bit simpler. I think I will swirl them for the 2 tiers though as I want them to be different from the 3.
In the middle of making 3 Neutral 3 Tiers. They are not ordered as such but a few people at my dIL work are interested. I like to make up what I have got and then take pics and go from there. Will post pics when finished.
