" I thought flagging it up to them that G24 were using false information to scare people into paying invoices was worth bringing to their attention, for any appeals of G24 PCNs they may be handling.
The DRP ltd. DC invoice states they are accredited by the IPC/BPA/AOS. with this in mind should they not be representing clients who abide by legislation, something G24 clearly avoids?
I'm probably just looking too much into this but I just want to nip the anyway I can as looking it to this all, its really infuriated me to think of how many people they have managed to scam

POPLA will not be handling any appeals for G24 as they are not in the BPA who appoint POPLA assessors.

The IPC and BPA are just private members clubs that any parking company can join if they pay an annual fee, they are not regulators as they are keen to point out if there is any flack being thrown about.

DD emailed me back and said G24 claim it is an error in training of their staff that it should not have been stated and they have cancelled the invoice against me. D
Exactly as forecast in my first post in this thread on 1 June 2017, - and subsequently - once you involved David Dunford and the DVLA.
Once they have David Dunford on their tail they will drop this urgently. He is the man with the power to cut off their access to the DVLA database which effectively stops their business in its tracks. There is no danger of them escalating anything. So, please, give DD the authority to proceed. You have them on the ropes.
This really won't go any further once DD gets to work on G24.

Now, to hit a bigger nail in this coffin! Send a Freedom of Information Request to the DVLA asking:

    1. Since 26 January 2016, when it is understood that G24 were warned by the DVLA for falsely stating in their Notices to Keepers that Keepers in Scotland were liable for their parking charges, how many further data requests for parking events in Scotland have been made by G24.

    2. Since that warning, what monitoring by the DVLA of G24's Notices to Keepers in Scotland has taken place, by volume and frequency.

    3. What were the findings of the DVLA in respect of the above.

    4. Since 26 January 2016, ow many of the above Keepers were issued with a Notice to Keeper which specified that they were liable for parking charges under the PoFA 2012 in Scotland.

    5. How many Keepers in Scotland paid these charges as a result of the Notice to Keeper.

    6. What action is the DVLA proposing to take to determine the total amount of parking charges paid to G24 by Keepers in Scotland as a result of their misleading Notice to Keeper.

This is not an exhaustive list, nor necessarily the most penetrative, but a starting point to which others might wish to contribute via additional questions, or sharpening of those I've already drafted.

You've had G24 on the ropes, you've hit them sufficiently to drop them to their knees - here's the opportunity for a knock out punch.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I should have just contacted the DVLA straight off after it was suggested but I thought that B&M had dealt with it in the end :/

"I should however mention that when DVLA releases information from the record, the Agency is unaware whether POFA is or even can be used. Data is provided to allow the company to make contact with the motorist. In the event that the company concerned are not permitted to use POFA, they may still use the data obtained from DVLA to try and contact the driver of the vehicle. It would then be up to the keeper to decide whether they wish to assist but they would not be able to be held liable."
the above was DD's response in his email to my asking why they were allowed to access the datatbase for a vehicle in Scotland.
G24s letters then state the invoice may be transferred or 'can' be - in the case of the letter I received at the end of May.
Trading Standards is my focus atm and hitting G24 with as much as I can.

Do this. Use the what do they know site then it gets published into the public domain for everyone to see. You don't have to use your real name to sign up if you don't wish to but you do need a full name.

Whilst it doesn't hurt to try, do the DVLA get copies of the NTKs when keeper details are requested? If not then points 4, 5 and 6 won't be in the DVLA's purview.
