I thought the manager had it wrong. I asked her where online that information was available to the customer and she said it wasnt- it was the agreement with them and g24

I'm still trying to get a way of uploading a copy of the email from g24 on this thread

Stop. This is G24 and you live in Scotland. Stop digging and ignore them.

You already shot several toes off by taking them seriously before, and contacting them. Stop.

    DO NOT PAY, relax. IGNORE.

ps. I can post a copy of the email they sent me, mentioning the pofa legislation that I know not to apply in Scotland

G24 have been caught doing this before in Scotland. Gladstones said it was a "mistake". See if you can print the email to a PDF file and send a complaint to david.dunford@dvla.gsi.gov.uk and ask him to investigate the matter as G24 have done this before.

From a fellow Scot, ignore them, I do.
Nothing ever happens except a few debt collection letters that I put straight in the recycling bin unopened.

While 'ignore' advice will obviously help the OP, there's a bigger fish to fry here if that email contains misinformation about PoFA.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I don't plan on contacting g24 again, I just want the receipts for my own records should this escalate further. I am still working on getting a copy of the email up to show yous' the mention of pofa and ofc report g24 for misconduct if I can- I was not happy the dvla gave out my keeper details, my middle name was even on the letter and on the envelope (a name I never use) ...

although I did contact g24 , I don't think they even read it properly given the response to it not matching up and seeming so generic. Also what company replies to emails at 3am!!? or owns the company/body who regulates them! stinks of BS

"Furthermore, the Protection of Freedoms Act confirms that parking charges can be levied on private land. "
^^^ is the mention of pofa in the email, it also states that the £90 is an accurate estimate of loss- they have legal proof of this, how can that be so in a free carpark? I can tell they're numpties but just being a sort of "good girl" for lack of a better expression, this stuff worries me. just want it closed and done.
I'm glad to see that the dca's seem to have no effect on my credit though! thats my main concern from these chancers

Of course they do, the Supreme Court decided that was true, in ParkingEye Ltd v Beavis. You cannot argue that point any more, thanks to the infinite *wisdom* of those Judges. Pathetic, isn't it. A dreadful, notorious and ridiculous decision.

Same as everyone but it will not happen (WILL NOT BE CANCELLED) unless you convince another retail Manager to tell G24 to cancel it. You can stand there and insist, you know, never mind the secret floor limit of spending they never tell anyone about (which is an unfair business practice in itself).

But hey, it's only G24, who cares if it's cancelled or not. Joke of a company with zero court presence.

the manager said she could not cancel it, that they would request the receipts as proof I spend £20 and without that, g24 would not cancel it.... from what I can see its never went to court in Scotland though, just gets dropped eventually by g24/dca's so just got to wait on that
