Nothing much to report again today. No payments the banks empty, my purse is empty and its raining
Again.
Kids had left over roast for lunch, curry in the slowcooker for tonight and enough to freeze a few ready meals.
Chicken and bacon sandwich filler made.
Very last leftovers in the other slow cooker with some remains of veg and things we won't use before they are sad making soup.
Mum's back tomorrow so going to make them a cottage pie and a cake to come home too and leave some fresh milk and bread for them. Have dusted and run the hoover round so its fresh for them arriving home.
No post today other than the carpet samples. Still not sure which to go for. The very cheapest or the one a little more. I don't expect either to last a long time but 100% better than bare floors.0 -
Harder to keep your chin up when it is raining too. You put me to shame frankly.
Hope you get some movement on the DLA etc soon, Hopefully they back date it to your application date.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

What a lovely daughter you are to bake and shop and cook ready for your mum and step dad coming home. I am sure it will be much appreciated. Successful day at mums, all clean and fresh. Will bake the cake this evening.
Kids spent the time in between the rain out in the garden and in the sand. They had their showers and went straight to sleep :rotfl:
Tomorrow will be spent at mums again, waiting for them to arrive home safely. Still will be a NSD though. I think I have about £1.40 to my name till FridayI hope the electric lasts
I really need to sort out some internet this week too, I've been putting it off but V!rgin ends on the 13th.
Tomorrow's 3 month update won't show much difference I don't think.
I still can't afford to pay the relatives/friend debt until everythings sorted. I think I'm going to start by trying to save any little amount I can towards these as it does play on my mind a lot.0 -
Cake making problem! I have NO tin! I'm going to have to go round and hope I can collect some back in I've borrowed out
Rectangle cake will have to do, however it doesn't have the same effect. boo hoo!

Hope you get some good news on your application soon.
shame I can't lend you some cake tins via t'internet. I have loads of standard ones here.0 -
Your mum is lucky to have such a thoughtful daughter. I bet she'll feel so much better coming home to a clean house with some fresh supplies. A few years ago we came home from holiday to a spotless house courtesy of DS - was highly suspicious and not entirely convinced it was down to him, but nice nonetheless.
Weather has been dreadful here too, non-stop rain all day, cold and dark - ughI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Re cake tins - How about unscrewing a pan handle from a saucepan and using that instead? As long as you line it and grease it well I can vouch for it as I make Christmas cakes in milk pans without the handles so they are full height but smaller in diameter (for people who live on their own but don't want a whole big one)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Ohh will a pan work? I considered it but didn't want it to be a disaster :rotfl:
