I'm definitely going to see what I can do. Even if it means trying to make them do an attachment of his earnings.
They originally wanted £185 by Friday then £25 a week going forward (the original agreement made in court) I got it down to £15 on Friday and the £25 a week going forward until it's sorted some other way.
Alot of tears shed but that won't pay it so I need to sort it someway0 -
Who are you getting the advice from, Hidden? My worry is that if you make even one payment after you have told them that he no longer lives there it will be taken as a precedent and you'll be expected to pay the lot. Could you explain the situation to your housing officer and ask if there is anything at all they can do about the tennency. You never know they well have come across this situation before and have a solution. Can you also contact the court and explain what is happening to them as well? Again they might have come across a similar situation. I can't believe that in this day and age you can be expected to pay for his criminal activity causing hardship to three little children.
I cannot begin to put into words how I feel about this person (I'm not going to tarnish the male sex by calling him a man). I'm not normally a vindictive person but take him for every penny you can get.
Rant over but you and your children really do deserve better.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
He's going to cover the fine he says. But I'll be making sure the payments are made on time.
I don't know where to get advice tbh.
On a more positive note we've been given some clothes for DS of a lovely personDS is so happy with them (me too obviously) and greatful.
I was accepted on S@vvy circles shampoo and conditioner project. Today 6 400ml bottles of shampoo/conditioner arrived.
Negotiating the payment needed to said fine means I'm still on track with the girls room (was worried I'd have to resort to using the bed money to pay the fine)0 -
Would you be entitled to free legal advice from a solicitor re the fine and tenancy (and anything else)? Would an organisation like Gingerbread be able to help. I know they can't give you legal advice but they might be able to point you in the right direction.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Agree, wholeheartedly...
We have a saying in Scotland, "wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him"...
His fine, his responsibility... I wouldn't pay a penny for him... he should pay HIS fine directly to themBUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron
It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Hidden please listen to all this advise as you should not be paying for his fine, which is taking money that you can use for your children. It is definitely not right and I agree even though he says he will pay (even though he hasn't and he has a job) I wouldn't trust him as far as I would throw him either. Also a wee saying in Northern Ireland.
Fab about the bottles of shampoo and conditioner. xxBarclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%
