'Normal cake' works but google Slow cooker Lava cake

But yeah your normal cake recipe works too.
  • Hi Hidden, glad the tax credits were halved and deducted from you payments so it is not as noticeable.

I love my slow cooker. It is so handy having it on when I am in work and dinner is ready as you come in.

  • Cleaning it is the problem....mine is in the sink steeping as we had beef goulash done in it last night.

Bit of washing powder, fill with water and leave it switched on for a while, it will just wipe off :D

Ooo, thanks for this. How long would you leave it on for and would it be at the slow setting? Does it get off really browned edges? :rotfl:

DH complains all the time about cleaning it as he ends up doing it.

It does, I just leave it on when I've dished up until I go to wash up, about an hour? The longer the better I guess but you should see it lifting off.

Yep really browned edges. Lasagne catches me out EVERY time. I never catch it where its just right and its either too 'wet' or crisp on the edge :rotfl:

My son bought one over a month ago. I haven't used it yet (neither has he!) Is it easy?

    The slowcooker?

You can't go wrong honestly I wouldn't cook half as much if I didn't have mine.

I chuck it all in on a morning and leave it on till we are ready to eat. I can't think of anything we eat that I don't/couldn't do in the slowcooker, other than toast :rotfl:
