They will be bringing water. We are classed as vulnerable customers because of youngests needs. I just had none at all to make drinks etc in the meantime.
Made me realise how much I take for granted having running water though! I want my shower :rotfl:0 -
It's only when you don't have the things that you take for granted that you realize how much you depend on them. My mother used to always fill up the kettle after using it just in case. Hope you get the tax credits sorted.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Finally got through to the recovery place for tax credits. I am only liable for half of the debt, still nearly £600 _pale_ but anyway it's set to come out of my new award and it's 'processing' this apparently. he just said to be sure to call before the 4th September to confirm this and if not then I can set up a repayment plan then. So I'm not going to worry about it nor add it to my debt figures. It will just make my 'income' less the amount that they take.0

Well, at least it's only half and they are willing to set up a repayment plan. Still something you would rather not have happened. You've sorted it so put in out of your mind for the time being and focus on what you are doing now. As long as you deal with things and don't ignore them (which you are better than most at doing} everything will work out in the end, Look at where you were six months ago and how far you've come. If you don't mind me saying so, I think your problem (and I son't mean that in a bad way} is that you are lacking in self esteem (and you're not alone there, believe me). You are doing so well and I don't think you appreciate just how well you are doing. Don't compare yourself to other people and keep on going. We're all here to support you.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Thank goodness you're not liable for all of it - still annoying it happened in the first place though. Like Toni'sFriend says you don't realise how well you're doing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I think thats a good idea just adjusting your income. Certainly won't make you feel as bad as if you added to the debt.
Hope the end of today has been ok HI xxMummytogirls x0 -
I've been reading through your diary.
Tax credits are a pain sometimes. A few years back they informed us that they'd overpaid by £5000!! I had been at uni for three years and Oh had qualified, gotten a job and had a couple of small pay rises that i always informed them about therefore given them a chance to recalculate (this was overpayment over a couple of years) - luckily we have paid it all off now. The horror I felt when I received that letter though, it made me so ill with stress at the time.
Glad they are only holding you accountable for half. I hope it doesn't effect the finances that much x0 -
