HI , you are, quite simply, a star
I have followed your thread but not posted before as I couldn't think of anything to say other than very rude things about a certain 40y old manchild which wouldn't have helped.
But just now, you seem like a woman really coming into her own and I have high hopes for your independent life. Take all the help you can get from the 'system' - you are a really good example of what its designed for. Someone that needs a helping hand but will make the most of it and only look it at is a temporary safety net while they move on to bigger and better things :T
I hope you can stick to your plans and put whatever old habits and demons you had behind you and just keep moving on0 -
Thank you so much. I am definitely trying and more determined than ever.
There's a few demons still there causing issues. I'm sure they'll be locked in a box and sorted soon.
Thank you for reading x0 -
Thursday Left over bolognaise turned into chilli in the slow cooker. We have some appointments in town, will fit in the big library and see what activities we can make it too there. Will take pack lunches etc (Spends £2.60 kids bus fare and I will use the borrowed pass again )
I have to do a list for grocery shopping, we can't manage another week without doing some.
Waiting to go to the first appointment, weather is totally awful againNot one dry day yet!

 to the tax credits Hidden, I really don't understand them and, to be honest, I don't think they do themselves. They seem to conjur up figures from thin air. I'm dreading being told I've been overpaid in a year or so, it almost makes me not want to apply for them, but I can't afford not to.
Glad you have it sorted though, hopefully with your now-single claim it should go up anyway and you'll be entitled to more. xMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,500

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I can well imagine all the c*ck ups with tax credits would make folk reluctant to apply - perhaps that's their crafty plan?!
I do feel strongly though that where it can be proved that they have been given all the correct information and the mistake is theirs they should not be able to reclaim money like that.
Nice work on the slowcooker Uncanny they're fab things!

The water is fixed! Thankfully hence the shower at 2am :rotfl:
As for tax credits I think now I understand.
April 15-16 OH earnings where under £9000
April 16 OH earnings where estimated around £10500
September 16 He changed jobs and we changed to full time and earnings estimated £18000.
So even though we updated them we'd already been paid too much between April and September because it goes off the whole years earnings. I think! I'm sure that's how he explained it, I was worried because I probably over inform them of changes rather than not tell them something0
