Rang this morning using 0207 0199556
Got through to customer services in less than 30 secs, told them I wanted to cancel, they told me to keep it. No problemsA cynic is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.0 -
just rung up and 1st time I got a right one she wouldna have any of it and was insisting I cough up the £4.99 :-/ I cancelled the account anyway...
Then I rang back and got through said I wanted to cancel she said it had already been cancelled!!!! ;D
I said ok how do I go about sending the items back ?
she said well it will cost a lot more to send back and she would right the invoice off and close the account and I was to keep the pack with their compliments ;D
Woohoo Result ;D ;D ;D0 -
Well it certainly sounds like they've accepted defeat.0

I rang this am as I've had no confirmation of my 2 emails and asked the girl to ensure my account had been cancelled. It had not(!), so she cancelled it there and then.
She asked me to pay the £4.99 and I said no as the wok was free and I therefore was sure I could keep it. She said she had been working there for a year and knew what she was talking about but, because I persisted, she went to check. She then said I could keep the wok, but everything else was to be returned. I argued this, but she said I HAD to return the cards, etc. and that was that!
I don't see why I should get involved in paying P&P ... do you all think I could get away without returning these. ???Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
Heck! Well I did a printout of the web page with the original offer saying you could keep the wok 'whatever you decide', but I suppose that if they insist on the other stuff being returned then we'll have to do it. :-/
Having said that, they've not responded to my emails, but I've got no intention of ringing them up. If they pursue the matter in writing I'll happily respond in writing, and I'll return everything if they like (except the wok!) but I'm not paying a penny!0 -

Mmmm, just checked the box everything came in and it's not just the recipe cards in there, there's also the box that the cards should go in while you're collecting them. I'm not going to mess about packaging everything up ... too much hassle (and expense ::)). I'll just leave it I think and, if anyone decides to contact me (which I doubt!), I'll say it was agreed I can keep everything.
At least I can keep (and use) the wok ... not bothered about the recipe cards anyway, they can stay wrapped up in the garage for now. ::)Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
Good thinking - after all it sounds like they won't have a clue what they've said to who!
(I'm not bothered about the cards and stuff either!)0 -
one thing seems clear to me that once you have spoken with customer service they dont make a note on your account as to what has been said unlike some companies do
the only thing they do make a note of is the reason you want to cancel0 -
Ha ha ha, you mean they make a note of the fact that we've all got our freebie and now we don't want to know!!
They're a funny bunch aren't they!0
