Back after my time away and managed to lose 1/2lb which I'll take & run.
:T going away and coming back with a loss of any sort is almost unheard of. Well done!

I need a little advice as I've come back from class vowing never to go again but I need others perspective.

When I first started, I was getting 'motivational' texts from the class leader (cl) but they suddenly stopped. Didn't think much about it but following a post from a different member on Facebook I contacted the cl, who apologised saying she'd had a digit wrong. However I've still had no texts from her.

What has really rankled is that when she goes around the class she generally forgets me and I've increasingly got the impression I'm an after thought....however today she didn't even remember that she'd forgotten me...it's as if I'm wearing a clock of invisibility!

I don't mind paying to be told I've stayed the same or even put on but I do mind being made to feel as if I'm just making up the numbers.

I drove home vowing never to going again but I know that if I do that I'll put in all the weight I've lost and I'm not paying just to weigh ....so what do I do?

I don't think my consultant ever sent me a text but if yours does it for others then I don't see why you should be left out. One option depending on where you live is to go to another group. I'm fortunate in that I live in a big city and there are groups everywhere so I just go to whichever one suits me. My original consultant has stopped doing daytime groups and I prefer to do a morning WI but as she wasn't very good anyway I don't mind going elsewhere. The only other way forward I can see is to talk to her about it. Most consultants I've met have a system for going round the group usually in the order people have weighed in but yours sounds disorganised. Also they always ask at the end if they've missed anyone. Why don't you go early next week and tell her how you're feeling. She should remember to talk to you next week and then maybe the habit will stick. For the texts you should try texting her on the pretext of needing some help and then she can reply and then you'll be on her 'to do' list.
I had taken my 2 youngest to the local store to buy an end-of-week treat.
That's a great idea. Much better than buying in treats at home where they could be tempting. Good news about the Solero too.:)
Tea: pasta with tomato and chilli pasta sauce (about 2.5 for my share)
Have been having skimmed milk in cups of tea (HEA)

Out of interest, what's in the pasta sauce to give it syns?
I've been having BoB milk lately. It's great as it has all the taste of semi skimmed without the fat. It's cheaper in my local Co-op than in Sainsbury's.

D - Mackerel salad - the kiln mackerel from Asda which Google tells me is 5 syns per pack?

There are 3 items in syns online. The values are for 100g. Strips 6, fillets 5.5 and peppered fillets just 2.5. I think I'd be buying the peppered ones! If you particularly like mackerel, free ones are available in other places like Sainsbury's.

Just occurred to me that without wine syns you can probably afford the occasional pie and chips.:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese and pickles
D: Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh (with extra mushrooms), pilau rice, SW chips
Syns: probably 1 in my share of rice plus my curry then weekend wine!:j

I'm sorry to hear this, have or can you tell her how you feel? By text or face to face! Or is there another class you can go to? Do you feel able to use us as a class and do from home? Nothing worse than being an afterthought or ignored completely. Think I'd have made her feel embarrassed by making it plain I'd been ignored, like Oh have you forgotten me again! In a loud voice :rotfl: sort of jokey but with meaning :rotfl:
Hope things work out for you, we are here :A

Tbh TIE I was thinking of just coming here....at least that way I would have the commitment of posting my weight every week.

The only thing I worry about is if changes are made to syn values as they did for sweetener, for example.

I did think of messaging her but knew if I did it when I came home then it would come out all wrong....I think I need to sleep on what I what to say to her and how to phrase it correctly.....I don't want her to spend ages with me as I know why I will have put on, but a quick 2 minute acknowledgement I don't think is too much to ask.

There is another Saturday morning class I could go to ..it's a bit further away but I could go to give it a whirl in a fortnight's time (off in the carabpvan next weekend).

The trouble is I do like her and she takes a really sensible 'this is life' approach to things but this really annoys me!

You could keep that other class as an option but do try and sort out your own first if you like her approach.

Why not text her to 'remind' her you're away next weekend and then say something like 'It's probably just me feeling sorry for myself but.....' Then go on about how you miss her texts because they motivated you and although you're sure it wasn't deliberate that you felt invisible when she forgot you during Image therapy.

    Worth a try.:)

gettingtheresometime - I agree with Maman it is worth texting your consultant and mentioning that you miss the texts which you found inspirational. Like Maman my consultant never really texts me - I've been going since July 2010 and had, I think, 3 texts! The last one when she text me to say she was really pleased for me when I lost 1.5lb in a week (that's a huge loss for me!).

    Today's Plan:

    B - bacon & mushroom sandwich (HEB + 2)
    L - ham salad
D - turkey escalope, pomadoro spaghetti & wilted spinach (2.5 syns). May have some fruit & quark after but not sure yet.

HEA will be milk as usual.
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 2; breadcrumbs 2.5; weekend wine:D.
