So weigh in today lost 1/2 lb But am determined now and focused.

Made a lovely Eton Mess type dessert last night. Made up of blackberries, raspberries, red and black currants mixed with a Muller vanilla and chocolate yogurt and one crushed meringue nest (used Morrisons the best) at 3 syns it filled a sweet craving and was quite filling.
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

tete, is your gran aware that you really want to lose weight? It's kind of her to give you chocolates but.......:(

No... I don't want to be *THAT* person banging on about their diet all the time so I tend not to mention it much IRL. I could have taken them to run club to be shared out but I thought I could manage a bit of self-control... wrong!!

Well done on the interview Lantanna and good luck for next week. Wow to Australia! My best friends and I started celebrating big birthdays with NYC when we turned 30 and this year it's Budapest for our 35th, looking at Tokyo for 40! I'll have to get Aus booked in for 45, would love to go there!

Ariarna and Lois - I think the SW search is better now than it was a year or so ago, though you're right, fewer key words are better. I've never been able to get away with that Syns Allowed facebook page, I must be doing something wrong.

Arkers and MrsR - sorry to hear you've both been in the wars but glad both are on the mend now!

Well yesterday was a bad day, I was rushing around all day and didn't have lunch so when I finished work at 3.30 I was ravenous and had a McDonald's meal with a banana milkshake :wall: Soon regretted it when running at 6.30 - what a grim 8km!!! (Ruthy, I never find running helps me lose weight alone, it always has to be diet. In fact I've known several people put on weight when training for a marathon because you just don't use up as much extra energy as you think/feel).

    Today:
    B - Nothing
D - 3x Heck sausages (1.5), bubble and squeak (potato, onion, leek and cabbage), cherry tomatoes
T - Lamb, aubergine and chickpea curry (1 syn for the Maykway sauce) with quinoa
    HEA - Milk
HEB - Don't think I'm having one - is that illegal?
    Syns - Sugar (6!), sausages (1.5), curry (1), hot chocolate (2)

I've just ordered a blender so I can make my own syn free houmous and got to thinking about smoothies.... does anyone make them and NOT syn them? I've got into the habit of having no breakfast because I wouldn't normally and wasn't enjoying force feeding myself fruit early in the morning. A smoothie would be a way of getting some fruit into me and if I only have one a day is it really so bad? How many syns would it be anyway? Thanks for any input! xx

Tete - are you still at target? If you are then I would say as long as you only use the amount of fruit you would actually use and FF natural yoghurt then I wouldn't syn it. However if you're not at target then I'd syn it. Have looked at SW on line and they vary a lot depending on brand, which of course isn't very helpful!

Went to WI this morning and amazingly lost 1.5lb:j:j:j. Don't usually lose that much in one week, even with sticking 100% to plan. I'm now at 1lb above actual target weight.

    Today's plan:

    B - fruit after WI
    L - ham & beetroot sandwich (HEB + 0.5 for LTL mayo)
D - Barnsley lamb chop, roast potatoes, roasted veg, cabbage; splash of gravy; strawberries, grapes, banana, vanilla quark (not had flavoured before so hope I like it!); mini meringue

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread
Syns - 0.5 LTL mayo; 1 mini meringue; not sure what else yet but will have some more syns

If anyone needs Frylight or wants to stock up Tesco has it for £1.50:money: - nearly £1 cheaper than usual!

Well done on your losses Chocolateteddy and Denise

Gave in to the temptation of some sweets from tuck shop as it's been a really stressful day, but at 9 syns I'm only at 14 for the day so still on plan.

Good afternoon everyone. Lost 1 1/2 lbs this week. My interim target is 9 stone, although I want to go a lot lower. Bank holiday weekend I was out with friends so for a few days my diet was totally off. I did however eat very carefully for the remainder, and had mainly eggs, meat, with mostly speed.
Made a lovely beef, bean and sweet potato stew which I had too.
Going to try do better this week, although after the relief of being weighed and losing ate a small flake and packet of crisps. :o
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!

Missli - the flake and packet of crisps are fine as long as you include the syns in your total. I have no idea on the syns of either as they are both things I don't eat!

Some great losses on here today. :T:T:TDelighted for you teddy, lantanna, piglet, denise and missli (hope I've not missed anyone:o).

    ETA: And bubbs!! That's brilliant.

Is that a syn free meat and potato pie for tomorrow wiz?

I understand you don't want to be a diet bore tete but I'd definitely tell your gran. You see a lot of her and often share meals so it'd be worth it.

Ouch! to poking yourself in the eye MrsR. Glad it's a bit better.:)

I agree that exercise alone won't achieve weightloss. I think it's a bonus in terms of wellbeing, toning etc but you have to address food (and drink:() as well.

Hope you've had a good day greentiger. I wish the sun would come down south.:(

This evening's dinner could be a disaster. I thought I'd prepped everything just to put into the oven later but accidentally left it on the hob (which I thought was off) until I could smell burning! I think I rescued it but have alerted DH that if it tastes too smoky he'll be off to the chippy!:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: JP with veggie chilli, cottage cheese and pickles
D: chicken jambalaya (onion, peppers, courgettes, peas, carrots, mushrooms)
    Syns: squirt of syrup
