A very bad start to this challenge for me with 2lbs on things can only get better! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

Morning, another glorious day here today.
Going to have to go for 10,000 as my target at the minute. Went out last night and the fitness levels have fairly plummeted.
Will push up to 14, 000 minimum over time. Pity I have such a sedentary job.
Already been to Tesco this morning to get some yogurts and bank 1000 steps before work lol.
Kathryn don't worry about a lb on it will be off next week - I always fluctuated when I was losing but came down greatly overall.
Had my favourite breakfast this morning, boiled eggs on toast with blue cheese laughing cow.
Lunch is a chicken salad and think dinner will be some sort of salad as well as the weather is so good.0 -
Wish the weather was lovely here Lantanna! It's horrible, drizzly rain - the lazy stuff that goes through you not round you and also very windy. Hope it clears up a bit later as I need to go out this afternoon for a foot appointment and it's quite a walk from where I can park to the clinic.
Think today may be an SP day but need to check what veg is in the stew before I can decide! If there are non Speed veg in it then I'll just go EE and have potatoes with it and only one HEB!
B - Toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich (HEB + 3 for spread/brown sauce)
L - LO roast pork, fried up LO veg, pickles
D - Oxtail stew (from freezer); potatoes if non-Speed veg in stew without if it's all Speed. Either way no syns!
HEA - milk in teas throughout the day
HEB - bread
HEB2 (if stew is OK as is for SP) Ryvita; quark, ham, cucumber
Denise
OK, I've checked the stew and it will be an EE day after all. The stew has both parsnips & turnips in it so 2 non-Speed veg. Potatoes with dinner and no Ryvita for supper, LOL!0 -
Morning all - beautiful and sunny here, hope everyone else is enjoying good weather too.
Well, after weighing, measuring, calculating, counting, recording every morsel that has passed my lips for 3 days I was convinced I must be losing weight so I had a sneaky peak this morning and the scales have gone in the wrong direction.... bah.
I'm on my own in the shop as DH is golfing and it was very tempting to eat pain au chocolate instead of binning it but I resisted, then took the half full bin bag and put it in the big bin outside so they're definitely out of reach. I also removed some Total 0% yogurt that went out of date but that doesn't have quite the same appeal. That's one of those products that we don't sell much of but you can guarantee if we haven't got any yogurt someone will ask for it. If we've got fruit yogurt they want plain, if we've got plain they want fruit.... I just make sure whatever we've got is SW/WW friendly to save throwing it away.
Sympathy to Kathryn and ali-t - keep going, it will come good in the end. Yes, that's what I'm telling myself too.
Lantanna - the blue cheese spread with boiled eggs sounds yummy, must get some. You sound in very good spirits, very positive. :j
Bubbs - what did you use your HEB for in the end? Nuts and seeds might be a good option for you re the diabetes? Can someone recommend a nice ready to cook fish or fishcakes (Ideally breaded and big:D) from Lidl or Co-op that's less than about 7 syns?
Or... can someone tell me how I'm using the database wrong?
I know you were looking for Lidl or Coop, but Morrisons do a fish cake that's only 2 syns and has a cheesy centre. Trouble is, I've never managed to find them in store!
The SW search engine is a bit clunky to say the least! I find using less words gives better results but it doesn't always work. Another option is to check out a Facebook page called Syns Allowed.Saver-upper wrote: »My feet feel like they have done about 6499,83568,8345,247 steps today
I'm surprised you've got feet at all after that! :rotfl: Great body magic.
Well done Mad with Money and anyone else who has lost weight. :T
Have a good day everyone.

Another one wishing for sun.:(
Enjoy yours while it lasts lantanna.
Commiserations with those off to a bad start. Try to use it to motivate you as in the only way is...down!! What's that about a work tuck shop kathrynha:eek:. It's no wonder it's an uphill struggle to eat healthily.
6 weeks today I'll be waking up in my holiday apartment.:D Unfortunately my stomach is certainly not as flat as I'd like it to be so I need to work on that. Going out for lunch today (thinking of you greentiger) isn't going to be the best of starts. I've decided I'm going to try and find something reasonably SW friendly on the menu and I've resolved not to have wine syns.
So today's menu is a bit scrappy. I've had my HEB Puffes Wheat and HEA milk for breakfast. Lunch is yet to be decided. I probably won't feel hungry later but if I do I'll make a SW friendly snack when I get in from dancing. Last night I had an apple chopped into cottage cheese.
Have a good day all.:A
ETA: I enjoyed the Oriental Salmon last night but next time I'll make it with a bit more of a kick. Peppers and onions cooked down fine. I think it needs some ginger or five spice or chillis and I might try it with a cheap white fish like Pollock. At the moment I've got YS fish in the freezer but if I'm going to up the fish each week I need to find frugal alternatives.0 -
Its amazing what a week in the sun can do for the form Lois lol
Just had a telephone interview sprung me on me! Thankfully I must have passed that and have been offered an interview next week.
One of those really good jobs that will be very competitive to get. My hope is do a good interview and you never know what will happen in the future or who somebody will need.
Yes feeling more positive overall about lots of things!
Have also decided I'm going to Australia for my 40th in 2 years time, so 2 years to save up for that. Never been always wanted to go!
Bought some shredded carrot this morning, always find that a good speed food to get into a salad!0 -
Thanks for the new thread Shala.
