  • Hey all!
I was lucky this week with a STS[/COLOUR - back on it. Am thinking of giving myself a little boost with some alcohol free weekends ahem.
    Have a lovely day ! X
  • Morning everyone

Ate very little yesterday as I was feeling a little weird - so apart from my usual breakfast/lunch/satsuma intake I only had a ham roll & a hifi bar but enjoyed both.

A little annoyed as we were planning to go away today in the caravan for the weekend but have had to cancel as a client needs soothing so it looks like hubby will be in work while I go house hunting with our son.

The upside of course is that I get an extra day before WI as I can now go to my normal class.

    Have a good day folks

Well done to all the losers - some great losses this week :j

Personally I'm heading for the gainers corner +3lbs unsurprising after a weekend away that included a non SW friendly fry up, an afternoon cream tea with prosecco (Lush :o) followed by a BBQ that night (more booze) and pizza, curry and (more) cake the following day!

Can you tell I was home with my family for the weekend...I had more cake last weekend than I've had in the nearly 2 years since I started SW and to my amazement I actually got a bit sick of it - I was craving fruit, salad and vegetables all of which are a bit lacking in my fathers house. The other thing I discovered is that white bread - Irish MSEers will know about toasted heels of Brennans Batch bread with real butter - really doesn't agree with me nowadays. The stomach cramps were bad but sooo worth it :o

Thinking about it, carbs are the thing that I have really reduced since starting SW - I might have bread a couple of times a week but it's wholemeal. Potatoes/pasta/rice/noodles are also only once or twice a week and I don't miss them, quite happy to have other veg instead. I used to be someone who had bread at least once a day if not twice, always white bread and if I had two - four portions of veg and fruit thought I was doing well:eek:. Now I eat loads more food but 95% of it is fruit, veg and homemade...says she who's just polished off half a pack of strawberries as a snack!

Well done Lush on that 3lb loss - that's brilliant.

Wiz - a lb loss is a good loss. SW always say 1-2lb a week is the best way.

    Today's plan:

    B - Honey Monster Puffs (HEB + 100ml 1% milk, part HEA)
L - ham salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper, beetroot, pickled onions; coleslaw 2 syns
D - LO roast pork; new potatoes, baked beans followed by melon, pineapple, grapes, strawberries, quark, mini meringue 1 syn

Had a small ice lolly this afternoon 2 syns

Will have a couple of G&Ts tonight 6 syns.

HEA - 100ml milk for breakfast; rest milk in tea
    HEB - cereal
    Syns - 9 as above

Well, to my utter surprise,1.5lb off today. This is over two weeks but includes a weeks holiday so I'm delighted with that.

Yesterday a friend and I were wearing the same denim skirt (she has lost two stone with SW)and we were both moaning that our skirts were too big! We agreed that it was better than moaning they were too small..I think I'll dust off the sewing machine and see what I can alter to fit a bit better. Think it was Joedenise who mentioned charity shopping as you lose weight. I'm a charity shop fan and had a browse this week but I think I'll hold off buying anything until I've had a good sort of what I've already got and altered what I can.

Orlao I think a gain of 3 after that menu is a win! Hope you enjoyed some of it. Interesting that you talk about your tastes changing - I think mine are changing too.

Well doneRuthy, Bubbs, Lush, Wizkid, Missteach and other losers. Chin up to the tryers, and Beanielou you still have a net loss after that brilliant loss last week so keep plodding on.

This thread very much mirrors a RL SW group. People do come and go but when you choose to come back ali , we'll be pleased to see you and we won't charge you a penny! :)

I'm a keen charity shop fan esmy . In fact I'm wearing a lovely Jack Wills top at the moment from there. It wasn't just buying cheap stuff while I was getting to target but it let me experiment. When I was fat I used to wear a lot of black from head to toe but I used the CS to try out colours. Places like Matalan, Asda and Primark are good for cheap basics too.

I'm writing today off. Lunch was very synful. I really enjoy meeting up with friends but getting very disillusioned with restaurant/pub food. I know what you mean about craving healthy food orlao. Today I ordered tempura prawns as a starter. I knew they'd have batter but it was more batter than prawns. It seemed instead of a full prawn it was a sliver with a huge layer of batter.:( This was in a country pub highly rated in the Times the other week.

Maman you're 'preaching to the converted'...I'm wearing an Asda bra, Primark knickers, a Sainsbury's top, a charity shop Per Una skirt that cost the princely sum of £1 and Next sandals, bought in a sale! Black is now banned in my wardrobe apart from a uniform I have for a hobby and one silky shirt that I love.
