Back at home where there is functioning wi fi ! Head is turned currently looking at jobs all sorts of salaries including a lot less. Just so miserable and done with that place. Anyway on a brighter note just had a half hour call from my new consultant. She is truly lovely and very helpful. Naturally she is concerned I put on half a lb in my first week. Taking a break from writing a for and against log at her instruction. It amazes me the difference in consultants. I never heard from my last one at all even when I just disappeared and never went back! This one seems more understanding of everyone's issues and less preachy. Hopefully I've found a good one !

Candyapple, so glad I am not alone i am also thinking about cutting out gluten and wheat I already use alpro Almond milk on cereals but still use Flora pro active milk for brews and when I make porridge even then I have half water half milk I also use Pure sunflower spread for butter..
I love bread and potatoes but I have cut them down if I could just eat more veg, i.e. Green leafy veg and cauli, etc but I can't . At the moment I am taking iron pills for anemia and I am wondering if they help me get tummy ache with wind etc. If I could just do without bread and potatoes ,but I can't I have no will power for those, I can do without biscuits if I set myself . Will have to see how it goes with those adjustments. Hope you mange it too.:)

I have a few days each week where I use non-dairy milks like almond & coconut and I find they work really well in porridge, but not so good in tea or coffee (although coconut milk makes a yummy latte). But I miss my cups of tea and those non-dairy milks just don't work.

I'm the same as you though I'm a total carb fiend, I could do without bread but not potatoes long term. I'm just trying different things though, something's sure to work!

    Well done Beanie!

I've got weigh in tomorrow but think I'm about to scupper my progress! Had a rather bad weekend food-wise. Delicious but not SW-friendly!

Have tried to be on plan where possible but still expecting a gain. Not looking too promising for next week either as I'm away for 3 days in London from Fri-Sun and I just can't go to restaurants and order a salad! That's a really bad attitude I know, but if I'm spending money on eating out, then I want to enjoy it. Hopefully if I stay on plan Weds/Thurs/Mon/Tues/Weds then I can minimise the damage of two off plan weekends in a row.

Had a busy morning that went a bit like this:

Needed to get 10yo daughter to local scout hut by 10am to leave for Scout/cubs camp.I was also expecting a friend to visit "between 11 and 11.30am".Planned to have breakfast between these 2 events.
By the time I got home, was getting a bit close to 11am,so was looking forward to quick breakfast of toast and Marmite.
Opened cupboards-only white bread to be had .SO decided to have porridge.Weighed out the oats, used milk from my allowance, cooked it in the microwave for a few minutes, was just adding a teaspoon of sugar, and my friend knocked on the door.So didn't end up having that breakfast, either :rotfl:.But I did get to cluck over her beautiful 6 month-old,so all is good in the world :D:D.

    Menu:
    snack: doughnut peach

Lunch: Batchelor's rice (?free or 1.5 syn.I know the old pkt was free, and I have seen a packet labelled "curry" which is still free, but mine is called "mild curry",and cooks quicker:10 minutes. If anyone knows syns, that would be great.I can never find it on any of the syns websites I look up.).Accompanied by beetroot, ham, peppers

Tea: hunters chicken (3 syns for cheese),served with rice, fried onion and peppers, roast sweet potato and parsnip (maybe 1.5 syn for spray-I did count the squirts, but I forget :o).

Snacks: 2 hifi bars as HEB,rice cakes 3.5 syns.
