The weather was horrible here yesterday so ended up with chicken chips and vegetables.

I really wanted gravy but had used my syns on starburst and crisps so I decided to tweak the onion gravy a bit.

Made up a chicken oxo with 200ml water and added one level teaspoon of chicken oxo (1syn)
Made the onion gravy as usual in the microwave with that and added a little smash to thicken.
Much nicer and more like the real thing for only one syn and it covered a full chicken breast, a good handful of chips, carrots, sugarsnap peas and broccoli :)

    Today!

B - Bacon egg and tomato sandwich on HEXB bread

D - Seafood selection and salad (2 syns for light honey and mustard dressing)

T - South indian garlic and chilli chicken, potato and spinach curry (phew!) and rice.

Half a mini garlic and coriander naan for 5 syns and maybe a hot chocolate later.

Do you have a recipe for the chicken Top Girl that sounds lovely!

Realised whilst eating my lunch that I'd said no syns today but of course I had corned beef salad so that's 3.5 syns for the corned beef; also had 3 Laughing Cow mini Cravings so another 1.5 so 5 for the day, as long as I don't have anything else!

Top Girl - have you tried the Syn free onion gravy. It comes up quite thick and you can make it even thicker by adding less water. Think it's on the website, if not I could post it here

    Well done beanie :T

Yep wiz I feel constantly bloated lately, feel like I look pregnant in the mirror! So nope it's not just you. I can't remember ever having a flat tummy and it's one thing I'd really love. I'm thinking about cutting out dairy / wheat / gluten one at a time to see if any of those makes a difference.

Twas another gain for me this week but I'm still plodding!

My nephew's christening was on Sunday and I was nowhere near the weight (or size) that I wanted to be and felt thoroughly fed up. But my brother who I hadn't seen since christmas told me I looked slimmer and asked had I lost any weight and looked quite shocked when I said that I'd gained weight and felt like a heffalump :rotfl: so yay for non scale victories :T I don't particularly get on with SIL's mum so I was dreaded the event for that reason (the past 2 times I've met her she's made barbed comments towards me - whether intentional or not who knows) and felt hugely anxious but it was all fine. We only spoke twice and she was nice and friendly but I still breathed a sigh of relief and necked a few G&Ts after she'd gone :D Buffet wise I really misbehaved and had pastry covered things and a mahoosive slice of chocolate cake but it was completely worth it!

Trying to get back on plan today, although am over syns already  due to OH buying what he thought was a SW friendly lunch - I need to re-educate him I think!

Hope you all have a good Tuesday

    Hi everyone.

Just caught up with the 15 pages since I went away last week - crikey, you lot are busy!

Had a lovely break in the sun though mainly to see DD2 who is working abroad for the Summer. Didn't do too badly on the food and drink front as we were mainly self catering with a couple of restaurant meals, and we walked miles as we usually do on holiday so I'm hopeful for not much of a gain when I WI on Friday. I even wore a bikini and felt reasonably comfortable in it! People watching on a beach just reinforces how we're all very different in terms of shape and size, and there's a lot that's attractive about confidence that isn't anything to do with weight.

Meal plans and a big shop done today so I should be set up for the week.

Lots of great losers this week, commiserations to the tryers, and welcome to newbies.

change of plan - mil is back from holiday and wants us at a BBQ; going straight from work so no chance of something SW friendly (other than lettuce/cucumber/tomato) she has this pack http://groceries.iceland.co.uk/iceland-24-barbecue-selection-pack-1-84kg/p/66598 any ideas on syns? from the calories I make the burgers 10, chicken drumsticks 8 but I'll remove the skin (any chance that makes them free?!) and the sausages I make 5 ...do they sound about right/too low? luckily I've only used 6 syns so far today!

Candyapple, so glad I am not alone i am also thinking about cutting out gluten and wheat I already use alpro Almond milk on cereals but still use Flora pro active milk for brews and when I make porridge even then I have half water half milk I also use Pure sunflower spread for butter..
I love bread and potatoes but I have cut them down if I could just eat more veg, i.e. Green leafy veg and cauli, etc but I can't . At the moment I am taking iron pills for anemia and I am wondering if they help me get tummy ache with wind etc. If I could just do without bread and potatoes ,but I can't I have no will power for those, I can do without biscuits if I set myself . Will have to see how it goes with those adjustments. Hope you mange it too.:)

I forgot to mention that I am on holiday this week so have missed a weigh in. Sticking to plan inspite of the temptations so will be gutted if I haven't lost anything when I get back and go for my weigh in on Friday. You are all doing really well x
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

The chicken drumsticks will be free without skin. I'd stick to those with salad if I were you. It's really hard to guess what the sausages and burgers without details. Shame she didn't buy SW products from Iceland for you. :(
